The measuring section should be located at the part that is greater than or equal to 3 times the pipe diameter or long side length before the local resistance part, and 5 pipe diameters or long side length after the local resistance part.

In the case of rectangular ducts, the measured cross-section is divided into several equal small sections. Each small section should be as close to the square as possible, the side length should not be greater than 200mm, and the measurement point should be located in the center of the small section, but the number of measurement points on the whole section should not be less than 3.

For the circular air duct, the cross-section should be divided into several concentric rings with the same area according to the size of the pipe diameter, and each ring should measure 4 points. Determine the number of rings according to the pipe diameter, and should not be less than 3.
