Among them, there are a total of 10 points for filling in the blanks, each point; 4 reading comprehension passages with a total of 40 points, 2 points each; There are 10 points for each of the new reading question types, each of which is worth 2 points (divided into ranking questions, matching questions, filling in titles, etc.); Translation is worth 10 points, 2 points each; The essay is worth 30 points, and the large essay is generally a chart essay with a total of 20 points.

The following is the original scoring method.
Proportionally, it's basically 30 points for composition.
College English. From the very beginning, the Grade 4 and 6 exams have been using the essay writing question type. Composition is a test of language expression ability, which is a direct test. As long as the questions are well-presented, the essay is the most accurate and valid measure of the candidate's written comprehensive language ability.
As a question type, composition is the most difficult to engage in test-taking training, and it is also difficult to engage in question sea tactics. The only way to improve students' essay scores is to do a solid job in classroom teaching and improve students' actual English skills. However, due to the large amount of work required to mark essay questions and the difficulty of ensuring the consistency of grading, they cannot be used as the only means in large-scale standardized tests.
Composition in China's CET-4 and CET-6 exams only accounts for 15% of the total score.
In practice, a scientific method has been developed in China's college English test, which has made the essay marking achieve a high degree of reliability. Since 1990, in order to ensure the time of the essay test, the test paper has been printed in two parts: the objective part is the test paper.
1. The composition part is paper 2. Paper 1 will be discarded after the allotted time, and candidates must devote the last 30 minutes to writing an essay. Since 1990, colleges and universities across the country have generally attached great importance to the teaching of composition, and have achieved certain results.
In order to make teachers pay more attention to the cultivation of language expression ability, mobilize students' enthusiasm for learning, and focus on improving students' ability to use language in practice, the college English test has a minimum score in composition, that is, if the composition score is lower than a certain value, the total score will not be given even if it reaches 60 points.
The following score will be used to calculate the minimum score of the essay:
1) If the essay is scored as 0 points, even if the total score is higher than 60 points, it will be treated as a failure when reporting;
2) If the essay score is greater than 0 and less than 6, the score will be calculated as follows;
Last Reported Score = Original Calculated Total Score - 6 Take-Home Essay Score.
The adoption of the lowest score in the essay may affect the pass rate of some schools (mainly those with average grades), but it is conducive to promoting the improvement of the quality of college English teaching.
