How to change the canvas color to a gradient in fireworks

Open Fireworks and create a new canvas; (The size and color are chosen according to their own needs, and my choice here is only for demonstration).

Then select the "Rectangle Tool" on the toolbar on the right, hold down the right mouse button and drag a rectangle on the canvas;

Left-click with the mouse to select the rectangle, and in the properties panel below, you can adjust the size and color of the rectangle. At this point, adjust the color of the rectangle to the gray I need;

At this time, select the fill type of the properties panel, select "Gradient", as for the type of gradient, you can choose according to your needs, but I choose "Linear" here, linear gradient is also the most commonly used gradient to make web page toolbars; (Linear gradients are gradients from top to bottom by default).

At this time, we can click on the fill category in the "Properties" panel to adjust the gradient by ourselves;

By moving these two color controllers, we can adjust the effect of the gradient;

When the mouse moves closer to the color bar above, there is an extra plus sign next to the mouse, then we click the mouse, there will be an additional color controller, and if we continue to press the mouse, another color controller will be added;

Place the mouse on the color controller, press and hold the left mouse button, then the mouse will become a small hand, and then drag the mouse down so that the color controller will disappear;

At this time, we click on the color controller, and we can also select the color, at this time, in order to have a better gradient color, we can choose white->gray-> white gradient;

Succeed with flying colors.

There is no way to gradient the background canvas. If you have to, build a rectangle the size of the canvas and lock the layer.

The steps are as follows:

5. At this time, select the fill type of the property panel, select "Gradient", as for the type of gradient, you can choose according to your needs, I choose "Linear" here, linear gradient is also the most commonly used gradient to make web toolbar (linear gradient is gradient from top to bottom by default);

6. Click on the filling category in the "Properties" panel to adjust the gradient by yourself;

7. Move the two color controllers to adjust the effect of the gradient.

Use the vector tool to draw a shape (here take a rectangle as an example), select this rectangle, fill the color of the paint bucket in the attribute bar, there is a drop-down menu behind it as "fill category", one of which is "gradient", there are multiple choices after the gradient ("linetype", "radial", "rectangle", etc.), select "linetype", and then use the paint bucket in the toolbar to draw the direction of the gradient, and in the fill color behind the paint bucket in the properties bar, select the color of the gradient. (as shown in the image) you can make a rectangular block with a gradient color. The same is true for vector graphics of other shapes.
