[Original text of Zihan chapter].
Zi said: "Liren is beautiful." If you don't choose to be benevolent, how can you know? ”
Original note: Start with the people around you to do good deeds. If we don't choose those who are between benevolence and love, how can we understand the truth of benevolence?
[Translation and Annotation].
Zi said: "Liren is beautiful." If you don't choose to be benevolent, how can you know? ”
Confucius said, "Acts of kindness, generosity, and kindness in family and neighborhood relations are truly good deeds." If we don't associate ourselves with virtuous people, how can we comprehend the true meaning of benevolence?
It is also a way to show the mutual relationship between people.
Even the wise can make mistakes. Therefore, people often encounter many difficulties and difficult choices in life. The essence of education is to give people the right values and guidance to deal with various problems.
And Confucius's view that "benevolence is beauty" also put forward a kind of values and philosophy of life to a certain extent. By promoting the style of benevolence, people know how to help, understand and care for each other, and can get more support and help in life and work.
What people call "friendship" and "friendship" are all emotional connections between each other in human society. Based on the basic moral principles, the five qualities of benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom and faith are the prerequisites for normal communication between people, and they are also important factors for maintaining social stability and development. It can be said that Confucius's view that "benevolence is beauty" is also a kind of spiritual guidance for his interpersonal interaction and social progress.
All in all, Confucius's original intention of proposing "benevolence is beauty" is to tell Yu to sue people to become a person with moral character and integrity, not only to practice "benevolence" in the family and society, but also to choose the people around them and the way they treat others. Only by starting with benevolence and constantly revising one's self-perception in the feedback from the surroundings can we truly understand and grasp the truth of "benevolence".

Someone in the Song Kingdom got a piece of beautiful jade and gave it to Zihan. Zihan does not destroy the poor acceptance. The one who offered the beautiful jade said:
I showed the jade to the person who carved it, and the man thought it was a treasure, so I dared to offer it. Zihan said, "I regard not being greedy as a treasure, and your treasure is beautiful jade; If you give me the jade, both of us will lose our respective treasures, so we might as well keep our own treasures.
The jade offerer knelt on the ground and told Zihan, "The villain can't walk safely through the village with the jade, so if I give you the jade, I will be able to avoid being killed on the way home." So, Zihan settled this man in his own township, asked a jade worker to carve the jade for him, and after selling it, he gave the money to the person who offered the jade, and let him return to his hometown after he was rich.
Someone offended Qi Jinggong, who was very angry and ordered him to be tied up in the main hall and prepared to be sentenced to death by dismemberment, and said that if anyone dared to dissuade him, he would be killed.
