Don't try to resist or dismiss this state, and don't get too happy about progress, or your thoughts will get more confused. You just need to look at it with a normal mind, otherwise there will be no way to focus your mind on the Buddha name.
In fact, as long as you insist on chanting the Buddha name at a fixed time, such thoughts will naturally gradually decrease when you chant the Buddha name. Here are a few suggestions you can consider to help you progress faster and make your mind more clear.
First of all, before chanting the Buddha name, pay attention to the repair and move forward. Light a stick of incense for the Buddha and Bodhisattva before each recitation, and then confess to the Bodhisattva the karma of your body, mouth and mind, and after the repentance, pray to the Buddha and Bodhisattva that you can be blessed by reciting the Buddha's name.
Then, when reciting the Buddha's name, he decided to repair the righteous deeds. Don't expect anything when you recite the Buddha name, and don't think about the meaning or image of the Buddha name while reciting it, the only thing you need is that you hear the sound of each Buddha name in your ears and make sure you hear every word clearly. If you get distracted halfway, forgive yourself, don't dwell on it, continue to focus on your voice and hear every word clearly.
If you listen to yourself chanting the Buddha's name for a long time and reach a clear state of writing, your cultivation will naturally improve and you will be able to practice to the maximum.
Finally, dedication after reciting sutras is the most important thing. Make a vow to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to dedicate the merits of reciting sutras to all sentient beings in the Dharma Realm who have exhausted the void, and may they attain happiness and peace, free from fear and trouble. In this way, you will have cultivated generosity and rejoicing, making a wish for boundless sentient beings, and you will be able to attain boundless merit for both sentient beings and yourself.

Chanting Buddha is to discover delusions, just like looking in a mirror, you can't find the deficiencies on your face if you don't look in the mirror, this piece is a little darker, that part has a pimple and so on. When we recite the Buddha, we have a part of our hearts that are pure, and when we are pure, we have awareness, and when we have awareness, we discover our own delusions.
When you don't have awareness, you don't know if you're delusional, and you think you're normal.
When we don't chant the Buddha, don't chant the sutras, and don't work hard, we are one with the delusion. When we are in the family of delusions, we don't know what delusions are, and we don't know that everything we do and think is delusions. When we are diligent, when we are chanting sutras and reciting Buddha, we find that we have a lot of delusions, and this is diligence.
When we discover our delusions, we find our mistakes, and we can get rid of them.
If we don't even find out, it's impossible to get rid of delusions. So this is quite normal. Especially when we recite sutras and Buddhas, sometimes we may have all kinds of delusions.
Why is this normal? It's like a person cleaning, there is an inch of dust in this house, and when you don't clean, the dust won't get up. But it doesn't mean that you don't have dust there, but that your dust is thick and strong, but if you don't clean it, it will accumulate more and more.
When we clean, there will be dust, and at this time there will be all kinds of delusions, which is a process of removing dust, and it is a little thing that will inevitably appear. If we recognize it correctly, there is no problem, and there should be no illusions here.
So what to do? If we can find delusions when we chant sutras, then we will chant more sutrasThe more you recite the delusions, the fewer they reduce. Since it can be found and can pull us out of delusions, it means that it is very effective, so we can recite it more and more vigorously.
