How to convert F drive to NTFS format?

First go to the command prompt, method:

If you're prompted to defragment your disk, do so.

When converting the C drive, the system will ask whether to forcibly remove the volume, enter "n", and press enter.

I also asked if the conversion would be completed at the next startup, enter "y", and press enter.

Restart your computer and the conversion will be completed without damaging the files on the disk.

Drives D, E, and F are similar, and will not ask whether to forcibly remove the volume.

It is absolutely feasible to follow my method, as long as you don't make a mistake.

In order not to damage the data, you need to check the disk error before conversion. Point Start, Run, Enter:

chkdskx:r/x

Enter. Enter y when prompted. If a reboot is required, restart your computer.

Note that this x: is the disk letter you want to detect, for example, to detect the c drive, the command is:

chkdskc:r/x

To make a conversion: point start, run, enter:

convert

x:fs:ntfs

x: is the drive letter to be converted.

For example, to convert a C drive, the command is:

convert

c:fs:ntfs

If you don't want to enter the volume label, you can rename the disk in My Computer and remove its name. Ordinary disks do not have names, and the local disks are displayed.

Reformat the F drive Then you can choose to format the F drive to NTFS format
