Many years ago, the British newspaper The Times published a question that was open for answers: What is the shortest road from London to Rome?
Many people looked for answers from the perspective of geographical location, but they were all unsuccessful, and only one answer won the award: a good friend.
"I didn't think about it from a geographical point of view, I took a new approach," the laureate said. ”
Let's think back, are the other answers wrong? No. The answer to this award is also correct. It's just that one is from a geographical point of view, and the other is from a human point of view. The same question can lead to different correct answers.
Consider the following question: a circle, a triangle, a semicircle, which figure is different from the other two? According to the usual thinking, there must be only one answer to this question, but what if you think about it again?
The triangle was chosen because it is the only shape made of straight lines. The circle was chosen because it was the only closed system surrounded by curves. The semicircle was chosen because it is the only shape that is enclosed by curves and straight lines.
See, there are three answers to this question, but none of the three answers can be faulted.
Furthermore, 1+1 seems to most people to have only one answer, which is equal to two, but it is less than two in chemistry. There are many answers to such a seemingly simple question.
In this sense, it is extremely unnecessary to stick to "one right answer". "Looking horizontally at the side of the ridge into a peak, the distance and the height are different", the same article has different perceptions from different angles, the same thing, with different methods to solve, the final result may be the same. "All roads lead to Rome", even the paintings of the master Picasso have mixed reviews, so why should we find the way only on one answer?
And in our lives, people who think that "there is only one right answer" are actually superstitious authorities. We often base our evaluation of a person on the opinions of authoritative, expert experts. But authority is an accomplished person, not the right answer.
Take Picasso's paintings as an example, the Impressionist authorities say that they are rare works, and the Aesthetic authorities say that they are rubbish, these are all experts'ideas, but even if they are experts, their opinions are also different! It is also reasonable to say that they are wrong, it is right to say that they are right, so to speak, they are all right and wrong. From different perspectives, there really is more than one correct answer.
From this point of view, the answer to things is different from different perspectives. Remember, there's never just one right answer to something.
Thoughts cannot be eliminated. It's better to let it go with the flow and let it fade slowly over time.
