"Nineteen Ancient Poems" is a nineteen five-character ancient poems included in the "Anthology" (also known as Zhaoming Anthology) by Xiao Tong, the prince of Liang in the Southern Dynasty. The poems were not written by one person at one time, and the authors were all anonymous, roughly written in the late Eastern Han Dynasty.
Eight of them are entitled "Yutai New Songs" compiled by Chen Xuling of the Southern Dynasty, and one is believed to be composed by Fu Yi, all of which are not credible. The ideological content of this group of poems is more complex, or it is written that the woman is pregnant with people, and the wanderer misses home to express his feelings and farewell; or write about confidants who are rare, and the world is hot and cold to show cynicism; Or write about the impermanence of life, the difficulty of finding wealth, in order to advocate timely pleasure.
Most of them were written by literati imitating Yuefu folk songs, and some may have been rewritten based on folk songs. The language of the poem is smooth and clear, concise and vivid, with deep feelings and simple expression.
Ideological content
These nineteen poems are basically the words of a wandering son. Specifically, the sorrow and parting between husband and wife, the frustration of scholars, and the sense of impermanence of life are the basic emotional content of "Nineteen Ancient Poems". Some of the works show the idea of seeking wealth and pleasure in time.
This passage points out that the emotions expressed in the "Nineteen Ancient Poems" are experiences and feelings that are shared by all human beings. For example, "Picking Hibiscus in the River" and "Those Who Go Are Sparse"; "The Twilight of the Clouds", "The Guest Comes from Far Away" and "The Morning Glory" that express the deep longing and sincere love of the woman for the wanderer; It shows the travelers' feelings about the state of existence and some of their ideas about life:
Enter the car and drive the words", "The bright moon and the night light".

In the past, those related to external deeds, such as the temple sacrifices of emperors and princes, cultural and martial arts, hunting and recreation, and even the official office of the capital, once dominated the subject matter of literature, but now they have given way to the entry and exit places related to the poet's real life and spiritual life, friendship and love, and even the streets, fields, phenology, and solar terms, and the themes, styles, and techniques of literature have undergone tremendous changes. >>>More
