2. Obtained a college degree in safety engineering and engineering economics, and has been engaged in safety production related business for 5 years; Or obtain a college degree in other majors, and have been engaged in safety production related business for 7 years.

3. Obtain a bachelor's degree in safety engineering and engineering economics, and have been engaged in safety production related business for 3 years; Or obtain a bachelor's degree in other majors, and have been engaged in safety production related business for at least 5 years.

4. Obtained a second bachelor's degree or graduate degree in safety engineering and engineering economics, and have been engaged in safety production related business for 2 years; or obtained a second bachelor's degree or graduate degree in other majors, and have been engaged in safety production related business for at least 3 years.

5. Obtain a master's degree in safety engineering and engineering economics, and have been engaged in safety production related business for 1 year; or obtain a master's degree in other majors, and have been engaged in safety production related business for at least 2 years.

6. Obtained a doctorate degree in safety engineering and engineering economics; Or obtain a doctorate degree in other majors, and have been engaged in safety production related business for at least 1 year.

2) Those who meet the requirements of the registered safety engineer qualification examination, and before the end of 2002 has been evaluated for senior professional and technical positions, and engaged in safety production related business work for 10 years, can be exempted from the "safety production management knowledge" and "safety production technology" two subjects, only to participate in the "safety production law and related legal knowledge" and "safety production accident case analysis" two subjects of the examination.

3) According to the Ministry of Personnel's "Notice on Issues Concerning the Participation of Hong Kong and Macao Residents in the Professional and Technical Personnel Qualification Examination Held in the Mainland" (Guoren Bu Fa 2005 No. 9) document, since 2005, all Hong Kong and Macao residents who meet the relevant provisions of the Registered Safety Engineer Qualification Examination can register for the corresponding professional examination in accordance with the prescribed procedures and requirements. Hong Kong and Macao residents who apply to participate in the Registered Safety Engineer Qualification Examination shall submit their identity certificates, corresponding professional qualifications or degree certificates recognized by the education administrative department, and proof of the number of years of relevant professional work in the corresponding professional institutions.
