The articles of association of the Chinese Optical Society, what kind of organization is the Chinese

The Chinese Society of Optical Engineering is an academic society registered by the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

The purpose is to actively advocate the spirit of "innovation, collaboration, truth-seeking, and pragmatism", unite and lead optical science and technology workers to build a large platform for production, education and research in the field of optics, promote technological innovation in optical science and engineering, pay attention to the transformation of optical science and technology achievements, and promote the engineering of optical frontiers for application. Carry out international and domestic exchanges and cooperation in optical science and technology and engineering in various forms such as academic exchanges, journal publishing, project docking, scientific and technological consultation, education and training, industrial exhibitions, information networks, etc., so as to promote the development of optical science and engineering in China.

The first council was established on December 10, 1979, with Yan Keats as the honorary chairman and Wang Daheng as the chairman.

The second session of the Council was elected by the National Congress of Members in December 1984, with Yan Keats as the honorary chairman and Wang Daheng as the chairman.

The third council was elected in 1989 by correspondence, with Yan Jici as the honorary chairman and Wang Daheng as the chairman.

The fourth council was elected in December 1993, with Wang Daheng as the honorary chairman and Mu Guoguang as the chairman.

On September 24, 2000, the Fifth Council was elected by the National Member Representative Congress, with Wang Daheng as the honorary chairman and Mu Guoguang as the chairman.

The Sixth Council was elected at the National Congress on April 22, 2006, with Wang Daheng as the honorary chairman and Zhou Bingkun as the chairman.

The Chinese Optical Society is a non-governmental academic group of scientific and technological workers in the fields of optics and optical engineering in China, with the purpose of uniting scientists at home and abroad to promote and realize the development of science and technology in the fields of optics and optical engineering. In recent years, the Association has mobilized the enthusiasm of all parties, not only supporting the professional committees of the Society to hold professional meetings, but also jointly with the Chinese Optical Engineering Society, the Chinese Medical Association, the Chinese Institute of Communications, the Chinese Physical Society, the Chinese Institute of Electronics, the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, the Chinese Instrument and Control Society, and some provincial and municipal local societies to hold academic conferences. The academic conferences held by the professional committees and local societies have promoted the development of the professional disciplines and the academic activities of the local societies.
