First, although a small part of the simplified characters have weakened the principle of word making because of simplification, the vast majority of the simplified words are in line with the principle of word making. The evolution of Chinese characters is a process in which the speed of writing is getting faster and faster, and the use is becoming more and more convenient. In this process, the word theory is constantly weakened.
The replacement of traditional Chinese characters with traditional characters has been the least damaging to the theory of characters in the previous text reforms. The vast majority of simplified Chinese characters conform to the "Six Books" method of character formation. For details, please refer to my work:

Second, most of the simplified Chinese characters are ancient characters, vulgar characters, cursive characters, etc., which have been handed down since ancient times. Many simplified characters can be traced back to their roots, and their history is even older than that of traditional characters. Therefore, don't think about the problem of simplified and traditional Chinese with preconceived prejudices, each of us must have a correct concept in our hearts, that is, simplified Chinese characters, like traditional Chinese characters, are the precious cultural heritage left to us by the ancestors of the Chinese nation!
We chose simplified Chinese characters, but we chose one of the precious cultural treasures left to us by our ancestors. Refer to my other article: "On the Resourcefulness of Complexity".
I don't mean to disparage traditional Chinese characters, I just want everyone to treat simplified Chinese characters fairly. Many people always think that the use of traditional Chinese characters is Chinese culture, and then maliciously belittle simplified Chinese characters, but in fact? Degrading simplified Chinese characters is actually degrading Chinese culture! Isn't it???
