Left-behind children. The so-called "left-behind" children refers to a special group of children in the vast rural and urban areas of China, and is mainly a depiction of the phenomenon of parent-child divorce caused by the fact that two or single parents of children go out to work.

The sample selected for this survey is the left-behind children of the Luchaofang Neighborhood Committee of Shunhe Town, Suyu District, Suqian City, whose ages are mainly between 4 and 14 years old.

Left-behind children mean that both parents go out to work and are not around, or a guardian in thick pants goes out to work, and the other does not have the ability to supervise and does not have a child over the age of 16. In 2013, the All-China Women's Federation estimated that there were 61,025,000 left-behind children in rural areas in China based on the data of China's sixth population census in 2010, but in 2016, it was found that the number of left-behind children was only 9.02 million, and the number of left-behind children suddenly declined, because the previous report was based on statistics under the age of 18, but this time the statistics are under the age of 16, and there is a difference in the scope of statistics.
