Everything you encounter in this life is the cause and effect of what you did in your previous life, and what you do now will also have retribution in the next life.
Every step we take now is to leave a foundation for the future, do you agree with this sentence? A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, and we must bear the consequences for ourselves every step we take. This is the cause and effect mentioned in Buddhism, the Buddhist explanation is called "karma and karma", the modern scientific term is "force" and "reaction force", the ancient saying goes, plant melons and get melons, plant beans and get beans, are all to describe this, if it is cause and effect, you can't say that you plant tomatoes and receive oranges.
The ancient masters said: "If you do not die for a hundred thousand eons, when karma meets, the retribution will be repaid." For example, if you do a good deed, then the natural retribution is admired and respected by everyone, and if you do something illegal, then you will definitely go to jail, can you say that the theory of cause and effect does not exist?

What the present world does in the first half of his life, and the second half of his life gets results, that is called the present world; What you do this year, you get results next year, that's what the world is doing.
We can see a lot of newspapers. For example, if you are retired now, stay at home and get your pension every month, that is the current world. Why? Because you crack the "fair" fate of the accumulation of the first half of your life, the second half of your life sees the result.
Work this month, pay at the end of the month, and it is also the current newspaper, because a month of hard work will pay off. In the same way, all the happiness we have now is the result of the karma created in the past and in the present.
It is more obvious in the current world newspaper, for example, the first half of the life is full of evil, the second half of the life is full of disasters and difficulties, and one disaster after another disasters and sufferings come one after another.
Another example is that when a person is young, he is not filial to his parents, and when he is old, his children will also be unfilial to him, abuse him, and bully him.
Because he killed too much in this life, he finally got a short-lived retribution, and he died at the age of thirty or forty, which is also the retribution of this life.
What is the afterlife? What you do in this life, you don't get results in this life, and you only get it in the next life. Whether it is the retribution of evil or the retribution of good, this retribution tends to increase greatly.
Because karma grows and grows over time. The karma that has been created will be fruitful in future lives, and because the karma has been growing for a long time, the karma will become very large. We tend to think that the reason why I am living so happily and happily now is not the result of the accumulation of goodness in my previous life, but in fact the accumulation of goodness in my previous life played a very large role.
For example, some people are born as the sons of emperors and generals, or the children of rich and noble families; Some people are born as children of ordinary people or poor families. Of course, whether there is a future or not depends ultimately on the result of personal efforts. However, the preconditions are different after all, and what the former can achieve with one sentence, the latter may have to work hard.
It takes 20 or 30 years to do it, and it often comes at a heavy cost. This seems to fate on the surface.
It's unfair, but it's not, because it's all a blessing that we have created in our previous lives.
But the past life cannot replace this life, and what you do in this life can determine your future results. For example, as I just said, the children of poor families are not as good as the children of rich families, but if they continue to work hard, be modest and prudent, and be aggressive, they will bring great blessings in this life. And because of their superior congenital conditions, the children of rich families do not want to forge ahead, but are prone to degenerate.
This is the case with past and present lives, and what about the consequences from this life and the next?
Milarepa once said, "We had a great past life!" He earned our human bodies. But in this life, we must not push the future to the precipice! "Makes sense!
The retribution of other lives is that the karma created in this life is not reported in the next life, and the next life in the next life is not reported, and it may be reported after hundreds of years, thousands of years later, or even after many eons. When there is sufficient karma, when is it reported.

The comparison between your worldly theories and Buddhist cause and effect is not accurate, and cause and effect should not be explained clearly in words. When you come to the Times, it is not necessarily immediately followed by the next life, that is, the cause is planted, and when the opportunity comes, the fruit will ripen - retribution.
-
Logically, it is sufficient and necessary for the condition to be established, so that there is a complete causal relationship.
There is a process in the development of things, there is a certain cycle, after a process, the conditions are mature and sufficient, the result will naturally occur, this process may be long, may be short, and their own goal of accumulation is inseparable, some people have good talents, fast, some people are a little worse, a little longer, it doesn't matter.
The present world newspaper is a kind of subjective cause and effect, which is only an empirical talk, and cannot reach the level of theory. In other words, it is to summarize a person's understanding of cause and effect, a kind of will. For example, if one person thinks that another person is bad, and that person has an accident, that person will boil it down to reality.
In fact, accidents are certain probabilities and have little to do with karma.
No matter what life you are, living and understanding is the greatest blessing. Whether you are poor or rich, you understand that the accumulation and dispersion of wealth is a blessing, and even if you are poor all your life, you can pass on your experience and hope to the next generation, and the next generation will get rid of poverty and become rich. Therefore, to lengthen the cycle, what people have to pursue in their lives is an innocence, a sense of reason and awakening.
No matter how bitter or sweet life is, what you have clearly experienced is right, it is a blessing.

It can be understood in this way, as the old saying goes, it's not that you don't repay, but before the time comes, there will always be a day when retribution comes
-
It should be, there is a time when the time should not come, the time has not come, and when the time comes, God will not let go of the bad guys.

Retribution in this life means that if you do something bad in this life, you will be repaid in this life

Amitabha! Senior brother, karma is the law of the phenomenal world. But it is not necessarily the karma of the past life, the fruit of this life, and it is not necessarily the karma of this life, but the fruit of the next life.
In Buddhism, there are convenient divisions into past lives, present lives, and future lives. Past lives refer to the immeasurable lifetimes before this life, and future lives refer to the immeasurable lifetimes after this life.
It doesn't just refer to the previous or the next.
The three phases of cause and effect are the Buddha's compassionate conveniences, the names that are set up in order to guide the enlightenment of our sentient beings. In fact, cause and effect are intricate, not simple and singular. It can be said that a thing contains intricate cause and effect, and it is immeasurable.
This piece is not clear in three or five sentences. If you are interested, you can search on the web: Puyuan Lecture Hall Several laws of cause and effect can be viewed and read one by one in chronological order, and the explanation is relatively detailed and clear.
In fact, cause and effect are not inseparable. The same thing is not only the cause of past lives, but also the result of retribution. At the same time, it will also plant new causes for the future.
And all cause and effect are inseparable from the combination of fate. In other words, cause and effect are inseparable. As the Buddha said:
Bhikkhus, the present moment is the cause, the present moment is the effect, the present moment is the cause.
Like a grain of wheat, we can call it a fruit, and if we plant it now, the cause is sufficient, and the seedlings will grow, and it will become the cause again, and it will bear fruit in the future. Therefore, cause and effect cannot be viewed separately. Separately, it is just for us sentient beings to understand a little bit and then believe in the truth of cause and effect.
We ordinary people have no wisdom and can know all the laws of cause and effect, just as an arhat who has liberated the six realms can only observe cause and effect within 80,000 eons, let alone us ordinary people. If we are entangled in cause and effect, we will miss out on the rare human life in this life, the precious cause for spiritual practice. To understand the basic laws of cause and effect, we must use them in our life and practice to contemplate them, and if you want to understand all the laws of cause and effect, only the Buddhas!
Senior brother, how did karma come about? This is not a question that can be explained in a few simple sentences. To put it simply, karma arises from our confusion and reversal of vanity.
Karmic emptiness! In the midst of confusion and reversal, we take the false as the true and the illusion as the true, so we follow the flow of karma and have no expiration date. Senior brother, if you want to know more about it, I recommend reading the Buddha's "Lengyan Sutra", this whole scripture can be said to be for us to analyze how karma comes about and how we can transcend the shackles of karma!

If you believe that there is a law, you can learn the Dharma to understand the exact answer, but in the era of fast food, it is impossible to know everything without effort.
The so-called maturity is a growth stage for everyone, from children, teenagers, youth, to middle age should be mature, of course, there are individual fool exceptions, in fact, in this stage of growth, no matter who it is, will be hurt by the three major emotions in the world, it is also this hurt as your own teacher, you don't want to be hurt by others, then you hurt others first, of course, you can also choose to be silent, but I feel that no one in this world can pass the reality of interests, unless he has a problem with his brain, If his strength is not as powerful as others, if he has everything, but he is not in a hurry to make a move, and wait until the dragon and the tiger are finished, he will slowly clean up the mess, then this person is not so simple as being deep, and it is not as simple as adding a sinister and cunning, such a person is a wise man, the fittest survive and the capable wins, this is the law of survival!
