The "Sutra of Amitayus" that is circulating now is basically a collection of the old monks of Xia Lianju, and there were at least five versions of the "Sutra of Amitayus" in the past, and many people do not know which version to read. The Forty-Eight Vows of Amitabha Buddha are the core of the Sutra of Amitayus, no matter which version should be the same, different versions are only a little different in wording, but generally introduce the origin of Amitabha Buddha, the forty-eight vows, the beauty of the Pure Land of Bliss and the suffering of the world of sava.
Regarding several translations of "The Buddha Says the Sutra of Amitayus", Master Yinguang said, "Amitayus Rulaihui (Tang translation) is good in literature and science. (Yinguang Master Wen Yuan 3 Volume 2 Fu Wang Liju Book 2) Master Yu Yi's work "Fahai Guanlan", the Pure Land Essentials is also used in the Tang translation. Scholars believe that among the translations, Yasumoto is the best.
There has always been disagreement among the Buddhist scholars that the translator of Yasumoto has been arguing that this sutra should be translated by Zhu Fa Hu in his master's degree at the Institute of Religious Studies of the University of South China (1994). If Yasumoto is indeed the protector of the Zhu Fa, there are still 1,000.

The Chinese translation and Yasumoto are both 20 verses and 80 sentences, but they are five words, with a total of 400 characters, which is eight more than Yasumoto. Yasumoto has a total of 320 characters, in other words, even if the meaning of the two sides is the same, the Chinese translation uses a quarter more words than Yasumoto, so the judgment is high. Xia Huiben is mostly straightforward, and rarely uses metaphors, which is a little bland compared to Yasumoto.
Among them, there are only special words to praise the "Buddha's light", but there is a lack of praise for the Buddha's "face", which may not be in the original text, so some people think that they cannot be blamed. Yasumoto's "bright and powerful phase shakes the great thousand", which is vivid and profound, righteous and economical, and simple in words, in comparison, natural Yasumoto is slightly better.
In Yasumoto's sentence "the sun and moon are mani, the pearl is shining", the "pearl" corresponds to the former "mani", and completes its name. Mani beads emit "light", the sun is extremely hot and makes fire, so there is "flame", and the word "yao", the dictionary interprets as "light irradiation", in line with the characteristics of moonlight, the whole sentence is neat, and the words are accurate. But Xia Hui's skills are not enough.
Therefore, it is advisable to read Yasumoto's Sutra of Amitayus carefully, and not to read it together with the Xia Shu.
