Meteorological stations under meteorological authorities with conditions may carry out lightning forecasts and release them to the public in a timely manner.

Article 10 Meteorological authorities at all levels shall organize relevant departments to strengthen the study of basic theories such as lightning and the mechanism of lightning disasters and the application theories of defense technology, and strengthen the research and development of lightning protection and disaster reduction technology and lightning monitoring and early warning systems.
