In recent years, the China Society of Territorial Economics has carried out a series of academic and social activities that have had an important impact at home and abroad, such as the "National Hundreds of Millions of Primary and Secondary School Students' Resource Protection Education and Practice Activities", which was launched in 1999 and lasted for three years; At the beginning of 2003, the country's first "China's Top Ten Famous Mountains Selection Activity" was announced; "Seminar on Urban Forest Construction in China" held in Beijing in April 2003; "Seminar on the Construction and Development of Mountain Housing in China" held in Quanzhou, Fujian Province in April 2004; "High-level Forum on Returning Farmland to Forest in China" held in Beijing in October 2004; "National Seminar on Sustainable Development of Small and Medium-sized Cities" held in Urumqi, Xinjiang in August 2005; "Academic Forum on Circular Economy Concept and Practice" held in Beijing in September 2006; In November 2006, the "International Symposium on the Protection and Development of Ancient Chinese Villages" held in Wuyuan, Jiangxi Province, etc., had a strong social repercussion.

The China Society of Territorial Economics has given full play to its academic authority advantages, and has successively held nearly 100 consultation and demonstration activities for local governments and enterprises. In particular, in January 1999, a special discussion meeting was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on the development and protection of tourism resources in the Stone Forest Scenic Area of Yunnan Province; In September 2000, more than 40 people from the capital's political, scientific and technological, journalistic and business circles were organized to conduct inspections and consultation activities in Liang Park, Shangqiu City, Henan Province; In June 2004, the pig wholesale market project demonstration activity was held in Huiyang City, Guangdong Province; In December 2005, the ecological economic development planning demonstration activities held in Beijing for Huguan County, Shanxi Province, etc., were warmly welcomed and highly praised by the local government due to their high level, large scale and good effect.

The Chinese Society of Land Economics is a national social organization legal person and a part of the China Association of Science and Technology Repentance Burning.

Territorial economics is a science that studies the development, utilization and protection of land resources from an economic perspective. Based on the concept of the Great Land, the Association studies not only the resources of land, minerals, oceans, energy, biology (animals, plants), tourism, climate, cultural relics, population and labor, but also the interaction between these resources. The conference integrates academic research, consultation and demonstration, science popularization, publishing, talent training and international exchanges.
