"Single disc pose" is to place the right leg on top of the left leg and gesture as before. This is easier to do than a double disc. "Free cross-legged" is to sit cross-legged with the legs crossed over each other, which is the sitting posture that ordinary people are accustomed to.
2) Sitting with your legs down. Sit on a chair of appropriate height, keep the thigh surface level when you sit down, keep the thigh surface level as the degree, the calf is vertical, the feet are parallel to the ground, and the distance between the knees is to be able to put down two fists (fists and eyes are opposite). Place your palms down and naturally on your thighs.
The shoulders should be sagging, the waist must be straight, do not exert force, do not hunch over the chest, and bow the head on the back. The lower jaw is slightly upward**, and the top of the head is like a hanging. The posture is upright and natural.

Sit upright, relax physically and mentally, keep a smile on your face, head straight, and the back of your neck slightly resting on the collar.

Sit with two feet knotted, the left foot is on the top, the right foot is on the bottom for the demon sitting, and vice versa is the auspicious sitting. The best sitting posture is to sit on both knees, the center of gravity of the whole body is not biased or slanted, the most stable and durable, and it is easy to achieve cultivation. If it is difficult to sit on both feet, you can take a single knee, the left foot can be on top or down, and the two feet can be adjusted to each other.
If you also feel difficult to sit on your knees, you can sit as you wish, that is, the so-called loose plate, with your legs crossed and sitting as you wish. When you first learn to sit, your legs will inevitably be sore, numb, and painful, and you must practice patience to gradually get better over time. On weekdays, you can start with 10 minutes of practice, and then slowly increase the time after becoming proficient; Do not hold on to it suddenly, so as not to damage the muscles and bones.
At the beginning of the exercise, you can use a small cushion to raise your hips three to four inches, and when you are proficient, you can remove the cushion. If the muscles and bones are stiff, you can repent of the Buddha, which will help.
2. Precautions should be taken for meditation.
Beginners in meditation should pay attention to the following points
a) The place of meditation.
When learning to meditate, it is advisable to choose a place that is quiet, pure and undisturbed.
Before meditating, you can instruct the people on the left and right, and in case of emergency, you can use the chime or flick your fingers to make a soft sound, so that the meditator can hear the sound and make a decision; When meditating, you should prevent others from suddenly touching your body to avoid being frightened.
Do not close the neck near the window, because the wind blows through the gap in the window, the wind is strong, if it blows directly on the neck, it is easy to cause wind evil.
2) Clothing for meditation.
When sitting quietly, due to the dilation of pores throughout the body, attention should be paid to keeping warm; Leg cloth can be used to cover both knees to protect them from wind chill.
Clothing should be loose and comfortable, and corsetions should be loosened before meditation.
c) Time for meditation.
Except for one hour after eating, it is not suitable at any other time.
4) Sit-down points.
It is not advisable to sit down suddenly. You can gently shake your shoulders and upper body, then rub your palms together to stroke your face and head. Then gently put your legs, bend your body slowly, exhale the accumulated qi in your abdomen, and slowly massage your hands along your legs to the soles of your feet. When menstruating, first slow and then fast, the accumulated qi can be dissipated, so as not to stay in the body and cause problems such as qi knot and bloating.
