For practitioners, food is only used to maintain the normal functioning of the body. You can't eat with greed, you can't be greedy for taste, you can't be greedy, and so on. From this point of view, everything a practitioner eats is the same, regardless of whether it is a vegetarian diet, as long as it can provide energy for the body and does not harm the body's health.
The reason why practitioners are encouraged to eat vegetarian food is because meat is accompanied by killing, and because many practitioners or beginners cannot treat food from an equal point of view, not to maintain the operation of the body as the foundation, and often crave the taste of meat. If greed is not removed, reincarnation cannot be broken, and in life and death, there will definitely be a direct or indirect causal continuation of killing due to meat eating. Therefore, although the practice is not about what to eat, if a vegetarian diet can meet the body's needs, it is necessary to cut off meat.
And you can't be greedy for vegetarian food. You can't be greedy for its shape, taste, texture, and so on. It's not that you can't eat a good diet, but you should treat everyone equally, and just meet your body's needs.
Don't be greedy when you eat well, and don't be suspicious when you eat bad.

Eating a vegetarian diet reduces killing. Vegetarianism is the release of life, and the release of life will be rewarded with longevity.

Venerable Da'an---Mahayana Buddhism requires Buddhists to be vegetarians, which is based on the scriptures. In the "Brahmana Sutra", it is said: Meat-eaters, cut off the seeds of great compassion and Buddha-nature.
It means that a person who eats meat will cut off the seed of great compassion, and cutting off the seed of great compassion is equivalent to cutting off the seed of becoming a Buddha. Reciting the Dharma is the Mahayana method to become a Buddha, so people who recite the Buddha should not eat meat.

Cultivation is the cultivation of the inner world, and what is truly achieved is the purity and nobility of the soul. Eating a calendar stove and accepting limbs is not a means of cultivation, but being kind to oneself and being kind to others is the means of cultivation. In order to practice, people have to control their eating, defending, respecting, and wearing, so eating a vegetarian diet is the result of their practice.

There are a lot of vegetarian people around. Some force themselves to be vegetarian, saying that they are accumulating good fortune by not killing living beings. Some vegetarian nutrition is not good to eat, and the body is sub-healthy, and the face is orange and gray. Some people say that eating a vegetarian diet can lead to a purer practice.
Regarding vegetarianism, I agree with what Xu Wenbing said: vegetarianism is the result of practice, not a means. When the heart is truly pure, there is naturally not much appetite.

Someone wrote that if the vegetarian diet is not withered, the jujube will die in the pure land, and I said that it is even more difficult to die if you eat meat. Letter to me: Eating vegetarian meat has nothing to do with spiritual practice, wow! What a beautiful and intriguing speech.
Master Yinguang repeatedly persuaded all sentient beings to abstain from killing, releasing life, and maintaining vegetarianism, which can eliminate disasters, prolong life, and protect the country.
The root gurus of all tantric masters are King Nyorai, Shakyamuni Nyorai, and Dari Nyorai; There is no Buddha who kills living beings and eats the flesh of living beings; There are only those who protect and save lives, and give their bodies and flesh to all living beings in life and life.
Vegetarianism is a kind of obsession, and learning all the Dharma is Dharma and Dharma love; No matter what kind of Dharma you hold, it will always be difficult to attain the position of great enlightenment. It is natural for ordinary people to choose the good and persevere, and instead of all the Buddhas and the people, they only wish that all the Buddhas and the people are vegetarian.
The highest level of cultivation of any method must be the unity of mind and action, words and deeds, the appearance and the inside are not separated, the cultivation inside must be the outside, and the internal evidence and external cultivation must be one; Without the evidence of inner compassion, the external minister is just imitating and even falsifying to deceive sentient beings.
Huineng Patriarch has taken refuge in the hunter team for many years, and he can definitely eat meat, why don't you wash it with vegetables? They also release the prey caught by the hunters. The patriarch is a person who sees nature, and when he sees that the two confusions have been broken, he will no longer suffer from the aftermath, we are all ordinary people who live and die in the fire house, how can we bear to hurt sentient beings to satisfy their stomachs!?
Nursing life, releasing life, abstaining from killing, vegetarianism, fasting This is the teaching of a thousand Buddhas; If you realize the Mahayana and see the nature, you will reverently fold your palms and ask for it with your heart. 」
I'm okay with being a vegetarian all day long, but people can't hear different voices. <> >>>More

True cultivators should be able to do the same things as ordinary people on the surface, and they are also ordinary people, and they see the same as ordinary people, so they may think a little differently, because practitioners know the truth more and more, so they will be more rational than people who have not practiced, and they know what to do, how to think, what to do and think. >>>More
Most modern cultivators cultivate in a secular environment, and the three levels of "lust", "jealousy", and "anger" are almost 100% difficult for people to pass at once. >>>More
Everything is vain. Therefore, practitioners do not need to be attached to merit in practice, just continue to practice, and do not need to deal with it much. Because we want to practice Buddhism, how far have we always wanted to practice? >>>More
