Cognition actually refers to a person's cognitive abilities. It refers to the ability of the human brain to process, store, and retrieve information. That is, people's ability to grasp the composition and performance of things, as well as the relationship with other things, the driving force of development, the direction of development and the basic laws.
The higher the cognition, the closer the reflection is to the essence of things. American psychologist Gagne believes that human cognitive ability includes the following three basic cognitive activity abilities: the ability to generate verbal information, that is, the ability to question what the world is; intellectual ability, i.e., the ability to ask questions of why and how; Cognitive strategy, that is, the ability to consciously regulate and monitor one's own cognitive processing.
The basic elements of cognitive abilityThe information I found on the Internet about the composition of cognitive ability is very complicated, involving many complex mental processes and psychological concepts, and I find it difficult to explain it clearly for a while. So, according to my own understanding, I integrated these complex mental processes and psychological concepts into three basic elements:
1. Knowledge and experience;
2. Thinking; 3. Worldview and values.
They are interdependent and interact with each other to form a person's cognitive abilities. The first is knowledge and experience, which is the foundation of a person's cognitive abilities. We all know that the cognitive abilities we exhibit when confronted with things and phenomena that we have learned or seen are much higher than the cognitive abilities we exhibit when confronted with unknown things and phenomena.
Generally speaking, the more knowledge and experience a person accumulates, the stronger his cognitive ability to understand various social and natural phenomena. Comparatively speaking, well-informed people have a stronger cognitive ability for various natural and social phenomena than those who are uninformed. For newborn children, their brains have neither knowledge nor experience, they are almost blank, and therefore have no cognitive abilities.
It is the accumulated life experience and knowledge that allows them to gradually form the cognitive ability of the world and society.

Since knowledge and experience are the foundation of a person's cognitive ability, in order to improve children's cognition, the first thing is to expand children's knowledge accumulation and enrich their life experience. Under China's current education system, which is dominated by examination-oriented education, schools have achieved excellence in the education of children's textbook knowledge. As parents, what we need to do is to encourage our children to read as many extracurricular books as possible, participate in more clubs, extracurricular and family labor activities, participate in more social practice activities, learn more about social knowledge, and accumulate more social experience while learning school textbook knowledge.
To sum up: read 10,000 books and travel thousands of miles. In this sense, the experience of studying abroad should be of great significance for improving children's cognition.

For children who are going abroad, it is far from enough to understand the world view of dialectical materialism and values with Chinese characteristics, and parents need to help their children to have some basic understanding of the world view of dialectical materialism and values with Chinese characteristics before going abroad, to understand the history and environment of these worldviews and values that are different from ours, and to understand various regions and values. The unique observation perspective and thinking methods chosen by people of countries and nationalities when observing the world can help children greatly broaden their horizons, form a global vision, improve their ability to analyze problems, judge right and wrong and solve problems, improve their creativity, help them better know and understand the customs, culture and traditions of different countries, and better integrate into and promote the process of world integration.

The child is born only as a member of the family, and the home is the child's space for activities, and the child does not need to be in contact with the outside world. However, as the child grows up, he needs to go out of the house to make friends, go to kindergarten, and go to elementary school.
Moms and dads want their children to be a welcome person who can survive well in society. So how do you cultivate your child's social cognition?
First of all, parents are the first and most important teachers before their children go out into society. Mom and Dad need to teach their children the most basic social etiquette, so that they can be good children who are law-abiding, civilized and polite. In addition to teaching these social knowledge to children, parents should also pay attention to being a good role model for children in life, so that children can see how parents become a popular social person.
Secondly, siblings in non-single-child families also have a strong influence. As children who are closer to the child's age than their parents, the child's siblings are in the middle of the relationship between the same generation, and they spend more time in contact with the child, and the child is more concerned about their words and deeds, and it is easier to imitate. Children especially like to play with older brothers or sisters who are older than themselves, and older siblings also like to highlight their status and value by "educating" their younger brothers or sisters.
Finally, the influence of the outside world on children cannot be ignored. Although children have parents and even older siblings to guide their education at home, the influence of social climate is still inevitable. In the age of Internet information, children can easily see all kinds of programs through television, computers, or mobile phones, and these programs are of mixed quality and have a mixed impact on children.
In addition, children will come into contact with people other than family members when they go out to play with other children, or after going to kindergarten, these outsiders have different values from the child's parents, parents or siblings, and will have a certain impact on the formation of the child's personality in the critical period of development.
Life is an inexhaustible source of learning for children. If children can learn mathematics in a specific context, they will be more comprehensible and receptive. In this way, the children will be happy to learn, and the teachers will feel much easier to teach. >>>More
It may have an impact on the child's future. Because the parent's parenting style can affect the child's cognitive ability.
Novice mom raising baby 700 questions.
Whether it is a person or an object, first hold the child's hand, tell him "this is Mom", "This is Dad", "This is the clothes", "This is the apple", and so on use the people and things that the child often touches in life to guide him, until the child hears a reaction, and then proceeds to the next step, let the child's eyes see, if not repulsed, let him touch it. From seeing to being able to distinguish between being able to see, take your time and don't push your child. Learn the steps, first demonstrate, the child does, then demonstrate the child to do, and repeat until the child learns.
1. Cultivate children's vocabulary skills.
Rich vocabulary is an essential foundation for reading and writing, and most children will already be able to master 3,000-5,000 words by the time they enter school. You can teach children to recognize the names of things around them in daily life, such as taking the initiative to tell them "this is a banana" and "that's an apple", and the next time they encounter a banana or apple, they will mention it again, repeatedly emphasizing to strengthen the child's memory. >>>More
