1. Right-click the [My Computer] icon on the computer desktop, and click the [Manage] option.

2. Click the [Disk Management] option on the left.

3. Select a partition in your computer, right-click, and click the [Compress Volume] option.

4. Enter the amount of compressed space you need to adjust, and click compress.

5. Then select the format of the disk for your new simple volume, here we generally choose "ntfs".

6. After the setting is completed, the win7 system will give the complete new disk partition information in the "New Simple Volume Wizard", and click the "Finish" button after confirming that it is correct.

If the free space size is compressed, the C disk is too small, and now we are ready to compress 300GB for the D disk, so we fill in 300GB * 1024 = 307200, here on the basis of 307200 add 10MB or 20MB, in order to prevent the full calculation of 307200 by the partition table to occupy the space, and become, so that the capacity is not an integer and not beautiful.

10. If you only divide a D disk, do not change the capacity, if you want to divide the unallocated space into multiple areas, here you will write the capacity required by the D disk.

Here we will keep the E disk unchanged, if you have obsessive-compulsive friends, you can go back to the disk management page and right-click on the optical drive, choose to change the drive letter and path, change D to the letter after it, leave the position of D out, and then change the current E disk to D disk.

1. First install the SSD into the computer, then prepare a boot USB flash drive, then insert the boot USB flash drive into the computer, set the boot to enter the USB flash drive to boot, and then enter the PE tool interface, and then click to open the "partition tool diskgen".

2. After opening the Diskgen partition tool interface, first find the SSD on the left side and click to select it.

3. Then click "Hard Disk" in the Diskgen tool menu, and in the drop-down menu, click "Quick Partition".

4. In the partition operation interface, first select several zones, 240GB SSD, because the capacity is not large, it is recommended to have 3-4 zones. Here I chose to divide into 4 areas,Then you also need to adjust the size of each partition in the advanced settings,Generally the first system C disk,The partition capacity is recommended to be greater than 50GB,Because you want to install Win10,So the C disk is divided into 60GB,The other 3 partitions,Each partition is about more than 50GB,Click "OK" at the bottom after completion。

5. After clicking OK in the previous section, the diskgen tool will partition the SSD according to the requirements, and when it is completed, the hard disk will be automatically formatted, and after it is completed, the SSD will be divided into zones.

If the new SSD is only used as a heavy disk, you can boot it into the system, right-click on this computer, select Management, select Disk Management, and then right-click the new SSD to partition it.

You can use third-party tools, such as DiskGenius, Partition Assistant, etc., which are free, easy to operate, and easy to use.

After installing the SSD, the setup method is instructed by the ants:

1. After installing the hard disk to the computer, the computer will be powered on and enter the desktop, and press the shortcut key "Win + R" to open the running window.

2. In the operation window, enter " " and then click the "OK" button to open the "Computer Management" window.

3. In the "Computer Management" window, click "Disk Management" on the left side.

4. At this time, the window of "Initialize Disk" will pop up, click the "OK" button.
