Liu Yongfang, male, born in January 1964. In 1985, he graduated from the Department of Psychology of Central China Normal University with a bachelor's degree in education, and in the same year, he was admitted to the Department of Education of Henan University to study for a master's degree. After receiving his master's degree in 1988, he stayed at the university to teach.

In 1992, he went to the Department of Psychology of East China Normal University to study for a doctorate degree in basic psychology, and after receiving his doctorate degree in 1995, he went to the Department of Psychology of Shandong Normal University to teach, during which he was a visiting scholar at the "Max Planck Institute for Human Development" in Berlin, Germany. In August 2002, he was transferred to the Department of Psychology of East China Normal University.

His research interests include organizational psychology and behavior, economic psychology and decision-making, and psycho-information engineering.

His main research areas are judgment and decision-making under uncertainty conditions, attribution theory and its applications. Recently, he has paid special attention to the problem of self-others decision-making differences, and found that there are differences in risk appetite not only between self-decision-making and anticipation of others and decisions for others, but also between anticipation of others' decisions and decisions for others. It is believed that psychological distance may be an important reason for these differences, and it seems that self-decision-making, decision-making for others, and anticipation of others' decision-making can be measured on a scale according to psychological distance to illustrate the difference in risk appetite in the three cases.

At present, we are trying to use behavioral experimental methods and cognitive neural methods to deeply reveal the essence of self-others decision-making differences at the three levels of risk-taking behavior, psychological mechanism and brain mechanism, from manipulating the characteristics of decision-making tasks, individual characteristics of decision-makers and others, to manipulating psychological distance.
