The lineage in the broad sense is learned from the temple. In a narrow sense, it is necessary to worship a master who has the Dharma scroll.

The Buddha said in the scriptures the general principle of inheritance: according to the law not according to the person, according to the righteousness not according to the word, according to the righteousness not according to the righteousness can not be relied on.

There are three types of lineage.

One is the inheritance of ideas, and the transmission of ideas to each other.

One is the inheritance of movements, such as the world-honored flowers.

And then there is the current oral tradition.

It is spoken through the mouth of the teacher, and our ears are heard.

Transmission is the inheritance of the Dharma from generation to generation.

The meaning is to keep the Dharma pure and uninterrupted.

If you get it, you will learn the Fa of which lineage, and you will get the inheritance of which lineage.

Before learning Buddhism, you must first meet a teacher who is destined to attain it.

    In its guidance get initiated.

    and study and practice.

    Good luck!

The inheritance of Buddhism is mainly the Dharma that has only been passed down from Shakyamuni Buddha, and the Dharma that has been passed down from generation to generation like an iron chain. And there can be no interruption in the middle. It also refers to the treatise written by an accomplished patriarch, or the Dharma passed down from generation to generation.

Only a pure lineage can have immediate blessings.

The master leads the apprentice, and the teacher teaches the students. If there is no master, how to pass it on. To get it is to find a good teacher, a master who can fax things. One can be apprenticed, and the teachings of one of these great masters who have been ordained at home throughout the ages are also good teachers for us. Amitabha.

Profound meaning = secret recipe = secret cause = internal cause of internal cause = important unspoken rules of the insider that are not recorded in layman's books = secret of authority.

In the same way, the ancient Yan Ouliusu was an authoritative calligrapher, and even if modern people write calligraphy well, or even surpass the four of them, they must first see if those modern people have a heritage - a secret recipe.

Writing beautifully, not necessarily being an authority, and an authority not necessarily writing beautifully. Calligraphy belongs to fine arts, and fine arts are not calligraphy.

    It's just a different way.

There are some methods that must be passed down in order to be effective, such as Tibetan Buddhism. These methods that must be passed down and require the body, speech, and mind to be offered to the guru are not superficially beneficial by initiating the lineage, but are done in a combination of knowledge and action, not only on the surface of the rituals, but also without any doubts or reservations in the heart. This requires that the choice of a guru must be cautious, discerning, and once determined, move forward without any reservations or doubts.

In fact, for many people, even if they can do it on the surface, they have reservations in their hearts. It's not easy to do. Although it is very special, only if you can immerse yourself in the body, speech and mind can you get benefits.

Once you can do that, you will naturally get tremendous benefits. The premise is, can you really do what your Guru says and do it with all your heart? Are you really able to do whatever your guru tells you to do without any doubt?

Did you really choose the right guru? And these premises, once set as questions after taking refuge, are already very problematic.

The sutras are not so strict about this. However, to study Buddhism, there must be a refuge teacher. The point is, after you take refuge, how far can you go to the level of faith and willingness? What step can be achieved in the six degrees of ten thousand lines?

Just because you don't get the lineage doesn't mean you can't practice. Without the guidance of an enlightened person, if you are diligent enough, you will naturally be filled with Fa joy and your merits will increase day by day. Enlightened people guide, but you think you have a backer, you can slack off, and you can't get any benefits.

The key is to purify one's body, speech, and mind, to eliminate evil and cultivate good, and to purify one's mind. Of course, this is not a sufficient reason not to get close to the knowledge of goodness. So, you're right, and she's right.

However, being unable to accommodate each other's body, speech, and mind because of disagreements is a manifestation of not being able to practice at home.

There's really nothing to argue about. There is no superiority in the law, and it is just a matter of whether the opportunity is right or not. No matter what method is very special, the key lies in whether the practitioner himself has the right opportunity.

No, no, no, the poor monk also entered the world to practice Buddhism, and realized the true meaning of my Buddha in the rolling red dust. As the saying goes, all roads lead to Rome, and all laws are equal, and they can be accomplished.

The most feared thing about studying Buddhism is attachment. Everyone has Buddha nature, everyone is a future Buddha, if learning Buddhism must be inherited, then who did Shakyamuni Buddha inherit back then? As long as the senior brother has Buddha nature, good roots, and is dedicated to the Buddha.

The so-called inheritance refers to the transmission of a method of enlightenment.

The real thing is unspeakable, incredible.

Studying the scriptures is also a method, but it is very slow to explore by yourself, and it is much faster to be taught by someone who has come before.

You can walk on two legs, the teacher also searches, and the scriptures are studied, and the more questions you have, the faster you will learn.

Teachers will also be screened so as not to fall into superstition.

Inheritance reflects the importance of "teacher", at the end of the Dharma period, the evil master said that the Dharma was like the sand of the Ganges River, there was no inheritance, and people still don't know where they were abducted by the evil master.

    Amitabha.

You also said that she converted to Tibetan Buddhism, and you asked about Mahayana Buddhism.

The answer lies in the difference between the two.

The practice of Tibetan secrets is to be inherited, otherwise it is regarded as theft. However, Master Hui said that I forgot what kind of mantra I can hold, and then learning the secret is not stealing the law.

The so-called inheritance is the secret meaning of the inheritance, the supreme and profound thing, Master Jingkong said, the requirements for cultivating Tibetan secrets are very high, at least it should be a bodhisattva. Actually, there is no mystery in the Dharma, it tells you everything, but it is very profound.

You can practice the sutras because you have Buddha nature, but you have to really understand the meaning of the sutras. May the understanding be as true as it comes.

This problem happens to happen to me some time ago. Eun now understands and tells Senior Brother.

The guru represents the Buddha and the Bodhisattva, and the way you learn the teachings is also the inheritance of the Buddha and the Bodhisattva. The Dharma must be passed on, but do you get the inheritance of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas every day, and practice it as it is? The habits in your alayas that have been in your alayas since the eons have been restrained every day?

Do you feel that the purpose of practicing the Dharma is only for your own benefit? Do you have the intention to benefit all sentient beings? This is the main problem with the practice of the Dharma.

No matter what method you practice, it doesn't matter, the key is whether it is to promote the Dharma and benefit sentient beings, and whether you have a bodhichitta or not.
