In the 70s of the last century, we were employees of state-owned enterprises (educated youth) who worked in the Yunnan Production and Construction Corps, the Yunnan Agricultural Reclamation Bureau.

Under the leadership of the Yunnan Production and Construction Corps and the Yunnan General Bureau of Agricultural Reclamation, we have been working in the plateau for eight years, building the country's largest natural rubber production base for the country, and continuously providing strategic raw materials for the country's industrialization - natural rubber.

We work in the Agricultural Reclamation (Corps) and are official employees of state-owned enterprises, with salary files and "work transfer certificates" when we return to the city.

For eight years, we worked non-stop on particularly heavy manual labor: felling, planting trees, terraces, transporting, building roads, building houses, ......It greatly damages the health of the body and makes us grow old before we age.

According to the provisions of the state's retirement policy, all employees of state-owned enterprises who have been engaged in toxic and harmful work, high-altitude work, field work, and particularly heavy physical labor for eight years or more may retire for five years.

In accordance with the national policy, the Ministry of Forestry of the People's Republic of China promulgated on June 16, 1992 [Notice of the Ministry of Forestry on the Scope of Early Retirement Jobs in the Forestry Industry, Lin Gong Hui Zi (1992) No. 80], which clearly stipulates that all employees who have been engaged in particularly heavy manual labor such as afforestation, logging and transportation for eight years can retire five years early.

However, we have not seen the State Administration of Reclamation issue the corresponding documents. As a result, those of us who have been engaged in particularly heavy manual labor for eight years cannot enjoy the policy of retiring five years early.

To this end, we request the State Administration of Agricultural Reclamation, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, and the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, in accordance with the spirit of the national retirement policy, and in accordance with the document of the Ministry of Forestry [Lin Gong Hui Zi (1992) No. 80], according to the principle of seeking truth from facts, to issue corresponding documents, so that those of us who have been engaged in particularly heavy physical labor in the field for eight years can enjoy the policy of retirement five years early, so as to promote social harmony.
