Elites need to go deep into society and understand the needs of the population so that they are not unprepared for the challenges that lie ahead. Kaplan noted that there is a disconnect between the American elite and the people. The elites, while showing concern for society, drew a line of separation from the people in their actual actions.
The disconnect between elites and the populace can deprive elites of their creativity and ability to respond to the current crisis. Even though some scholars believe that the United States can avoid the setbacks suffered by other cultures, Kaplan argues that elites need to abandon their arrogant idea of being on the right side of history. At the moment, the United States needs them to have a sense of humility, to be rooted in society, and to be willing to make self-sacrifices.
The American elite has a lot of concerns – maintaining geopolitical stability, reducing inequality, ending discrimination, and so on. But if the greatest threat to the United States is not these things, but the elites themselves – especially their evasion of their responsibilities as managers of society and their separation from other groups, this "separation" of elites weakens America's ability to meet the challenges it faces. Most importantly, American elites believe they are on the right side of history, which limits what they can learn from the rise and fall of other societies.
While these scholars emphasize different things, for the most part, they consistently point to the importance of elite and social cohesion for the success of any political system, arguing that the two are interrelated. Historically, the elite group that has had enormous power and influence over major institutions in a given society has made up only 2% of the total population at most.
If a society is to prosper, elites must not only respond creatively to tough challenges, but must also avoid disconnecting from society and acting in ways that undermine the vitality and loyalty of the community. While correctness and response to the challenges facing the United States may seem dependent on the rational decision-making of the best candidates, history has shown that this is not true: a deep connection to society is a necessary condition for acquiring the right wisdom, a tradition of self-sacrifice is necessary to inspire collective action, and long-standing habits of virtue are necessary to guarantee the vitality of social responses.
Primitivism developed into idealism and then rationalism, but the latter failed to achieve the perfection it sought. On the contrary, it creates cynicism, "barbarism" and "propaganda problems" that corrupt politics from within. In response to Descartes, Vico warned that the overemphasis on individualism and the rational development of different ideas undermines the principles of religious creed, which are essential for maintaining social cohesion.

It is very disappromising, because these two classes cannot be disconnected, and everyone should help each other, so that the bottom will improve a lot, which is the best.

Indeed, I hope that the country can strengthen regulation and control, shorten the gap between the rich and the poor, and achieve common prosperity.

I think this is a very normal phenomenon, because those people in the elite class of society are very busy at work every day, and they don't have time to worry about some idle things, they don't have their own time to do some things, and they have to go back to work overtime every night, so it is a very normal phenomenon to be out of touch with the bottom of society.
There is no distinction between high and low class. Everyone is using their own labor power to build the country and exchange it for living capital. It's just that people acquire different assets because of their abilities, powers, and influences. >>>More
I think there is a certain connection, and when the spiritual and material civilization of society develops to a certain extent, the law will also develop with it, and of course the law is a part of the social civilization.

In fact, as you said, the vast majority of people of our age are out of touch with society. But in fact, this is not the case, everyone will have their own way of life, but the purpose is now an Internet era, but also an otaku era. Many people may be holding their mobile phones to play in addition to eating, drinking, and sleeping at work. >>>More
