There are three kinds of charity in Buddhism
The first is financial charity. It is to selflessly give their own money or goods to the poor people in need according to their own conditions, and solve their material difficulties.
The second is Dharma giving, which is the use of Dharma knowledge gained through practice to educate sentient beings. He does his best to guide sentient beings who are not familiar with the Dharma, and uses the wisdom of the Dharma to guide them out of their troubles and foolishness. The more zealous you are, the more wisdom you will increase, and Dharma giving is the source of wisdom.
The third is to serve fearlessly and give generously, which is to use one's all-round abilities: inner spirit, external financial resources, knowledge, wisdom and speech, etc., to soothe others when they are in distress, urgency, and pain, so that people can relax and stabilize their body and mind, get rid of fear, and stay away from misfortune. Fearless generosity is the protection of sentient beings both physically and mentally.
The reward of fearless generosity is health and longevity, and happiness will last forever!
Don't always think about almsgiving, in order to reciprocate the good. Those who give with self-interest do not increase wisdom and do not produce merit. If the Dharma is giving, the heart is pure and undisturbed, and it is not tainted with any selfish intentions, which is the real merit and can accumulate supreme blessings.
