Gentleman's orchid (details), native to Africa, is named because of its elegant and handsome plants, gentlemanly demeanor, and flowers like orchids. As one of the flowers and plants, it is loved by the public. However, many people find that the Junzi orchid they raise does not bloom, what is going on?
Let's let Poqi Network analyze why Junzi Orchid doesn't bloom.
Orchid blooms.
The flowers of the orchid are very beautiful and elegant, and most of them bloom from November to April. If there is a pot full of flowers during the Spring Festival, the indoor atmosphere will be much brighter, but the orchid is very delicate, and the slightest neglect will strike and not bloom, if you want to make the orchid bloom as scheduled, we need to pay more attention. Home maintenance should mainly start from the aspects of temperature, soil, moisture, light, nutrition, etc.
1. Light and temperature
Autumn and winter is the bud differentiation period of Junzi Orchid (details), and insufficient light at this time will be detrimental to flower bud differentiation. When the weather cools, gradually increase the amount of light (bright scattered light), but do not allow direct sunlight. If you want to bloom the Junzi orchid, there must be enough temperature difference between day and night, the temperature is about 25 during the day, and between 10-15 at night, keep the temperature difference between day and night at about 10, so that it lasts for about a month, and then enter the room to protect the cultivation and the room temperature should not be too high, it is best around 15, and then slightly increase to about 20 around the Spring Festival.
2. Soil and nutrition
Before the differentiation of Junzi orchid buds, the amount of nitrogen fertilizer should be properly controlled, and 1-2 times of fertilizer containing more phosphorus (such as bone meal, fish scales, etc.) should be applied to facilitate the flowering of arrows. In addition, long-term non-soil change will also cause nutrient deficiency, so if necessary, it is necessary to change the soil and repot. It is important to remind you not to water a lot of fertilizer, as poor permeability of the flower soil, over-watering, over-fertilization or prolonged drought will cause root damage and may cause non-flowering.
3. Water: The cells in the plant must contain a certain amount of water in order to carry out normal life activities, and the nutrients in the soil can only be absorbed by the root hairs of the orchid after being dissolved in water, so it is necessary to water reasonably to make the vegetative growth of the plant good, and the normal flower bud differentiation and timely flowering after entering the reproductive growth period. Watering too much or too little can cause root rot, causing the plant to absorb malnutrition and not flowering. Please always pay attention to the dryness and wetness of the potting soil, and if it is semi-dry, it should be watered once, but the amount of watering should not be too much, and it is good to keep the potting soil moist and not damp.

The flowering period of the orchid is generally from February to April, which is the reason why the orchid does not bloom. There are two things that we are most likely to make: The first is that insufficient light leads to insufficient nutrient synthesis. The second point is improper fertilization or no fertilizer at all.

The orchid blooms, and the leaves generally need to grow to more than 14 pieces. If this criterion has been met and it still does not bloom, it is a management problem. The main reasons for the non-flowering of the orchid are too high temperature, too strong light, too much water, and too much nitrogen fertilizer.
Generally, in May and September, Junzi Orchid should be placed in front of a sunny window or in a semi-shaded place, keeping it ventilated, cool, and moist, and avoiding direct sunlight. In winter, it can be placed in front of a window with sunlight indoors, and direct sunlight should still be avoided when the room temperature exceeds 25. The soil requires good permeability.
Pay attention to watering in winter, keep the potting soil moist, and do not accumulate water for a long time, so as not to rot the roots.
Generally, families often raise flowers with too much nitrogen fertilizer (oil meal) and insufficient phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. Although the plant grows luxuriantly, it is not conducive to the flowering of the pregnant buds. Phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be applied 4 5 times and 1 time in 10 days during the vigorous growth period, which can promote flowering.

Junzi orchid is not an orchid, it is a plant of the Lycoris family, the plant shape is beautiful and has good ornamental value, and it can generally bloom gorgeous flowers throughout the year. The orchid also has a beautiful meaning, symbolizing nobility and gentlemanly style, suitable for keeping at home or giving away. Usually maintain dry and wet, suitable for watering and fertilizing once a half month, keep the light and temperature appropriate, so that it can grow vigorously. >>>More
The peak flowering period is from New Year's Day to Spring Festival, mainly in spring and summer, and can bloom all year round, sometimes in winter, and some in summer between June and July.
In fact, the reproduction of the orchid can also be completed by seeds, and the seeds are hidden in the fruit of the orchid, so how to breed the orchid? >>>More
The method of propagation of the orchid usually involves sowing and dividing. Sowing and propagation: When the seeds are mature, cut off the plants, put them in a cool and ventilated place for 10 days, take out the seeds for sowing, if they cannot be planted in time, they need to be wrapped in gauze and stored in an environment below 15 degrees; To propagate by dividing the plants, use a knife to cut off the roots of the small plants from the mother plant and plant them in pots. >>>More
