Which is better, the ancient text and the dragon? Give insights

**Talk about my opinion: Personally, I don't think there is a big comparison, and I can't say which one is better, for the following reasons:

First of all, in terms of object, "Wenxin Carving Dragon" is a work of literary theory, which studies various stylistic sources, writers and works.

The Ancient Texts and Views are anthologies of ancient prose, with occasional prose and rhetoric.

Secondly, in terms of content, "Wenxin Carving Dragon" is mainly literary criticism. "Guwen Guan Zhi" is mainly a collection of ancient original texts, which exists as an enlightenment reading material for readers at that time.

Thirdly, in terms of time, "Wenxin Carving Dragon" was written in the Southern Dynasties, so it is collected as works of the Southern Dynasties and before. "Guwen Guan Zhi" was written during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty.

Fourth, in terms of ideological core, "Wenxin Carving the Dragon" is based on Confucius's aesthetic thoughts, and also contains Taoist thoughts. When the selection of "Guwen Guan Zhi" was compiled, it mainly focused on making policy discussions during the imperial examination, so there were some inappropriate selections.

Fifth, in terms of achievements, "Wenxin Carving Dragon" mainly summarizes and studies the achievements of literary aesthetics, development laws, creation and appreciation. The book is of great help to preserve ancient texts, and there is a short commentary afterwards to help beginners understand.

Finally, in my personal opinion, I prefer "Wenxin Carving Dragon", the author Liu Xian's meticulous ** on various literatures, put forward many aesthetic views and literary views, and also explored and established the history of literature. Moreover, many of the criticisms are really classic and unique.

It's relatively simple, this is my summary after careful consideration, and there are still many contents that cannot be explained one by one, I hope this can give you a clearer understanding.

Also, I personally think that these two books are very good, two candles lit together, can illuminate each other and complement each other, both of which are our China's profound cultural heritage, cherished.
