Inconel783 is a low thermal expansion ultra-high temperature alloy alloy 783 GH6783 (GH783) UNS R30783, GH6783 (GH783) superalloy.
GH6783 is a Co-Ni-Fe-based precipitation-hardening ferromagnetic oxidation-resistant expansion deformation superalloy with a service temperature of less than 750°C. The alloy is strengthened by adding a large amount of aluminum and niobium elements, and precipitating '-Ni3(Al,Nb) diffuse strengthening phase and block-Ni Al phase in aging. The alloy can reach full oxidation resistance level at 750, and has excellent mechanical properties at room temperature, high temperature, low coefficient of thermal expansion and low density.
During thermal denaturation, the fine grain size is controlled by precipitation-Ni Al phase. The microalloyed alloy has good hot working properties and cold forming process properties. The main products are bars, cake blanks, rings, cold-rolled sheets and strips.
Alloys have been used in the manufacture of gap control components such as sealing rings, load-bearing rings and receivers for advanced aero engines. Because the alloy has the oxidation resistance, excellent mechanical properties and low thermal expansion coefficient of high-temperature alloys, it can also be applied to bolts and other fasteners and load-bearing shafts and other components used at high temperatures such as ground gas turbines, as well as the air ducts of rocket engines.
Compared with other low-expansion superalloys GH2907 and GH2909, GH6738 alloy has excellent oxidation resistance and low density. The alloy has excellent properties and microstructure stability below 700, but poor thermal stability above 750.

Heat treatment regime.
Extracted from AMS 5940, Q GYB 528, Q GYB 05066 and Q 6S 2040, the standard heat treatment regime for each variety is:
a Bars, forgings and rings, 1115 5 ac (or faster cooling) 845 10 (2 4)h ac 720 10 (8 620 10 (8, where the solution holding time is determined by the cross-sectional area of the member;
b Cold-rolled sheet and strip, 1115 5 (10 30) min ac (or air-cooled) 845 10 3 h ac 720 10 8h fc (56 h) 620 10 8h ac (or air-cooled).

Inconel783 low coefficient of thermal expansion superalloy.
Inconel 783 alloy is a superalloy that is resistant to oxidation and has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, developed specifically for steam turbine applications. The addition of niobium and aluminum improves the strength of alloy 783 through precipitation hardening heat treatment. In addition, the aluminium content also gives it excellent oxidation resistance at high temperatures.
The density of alloy 783 is about 5% smaller than that of superalloys such as alloy 718.
The combination of low thermal expansion, high strength and excellent oxidation resistance makes Alloy 783 particularly suitable for gas and steam turbine components. 1. The alloy is prone to internal cracking during forging, which allows heavy hammer strikes and low temperature chamfering. Inconel 718 (or Alloy 718) is a special type of high-strength superalloy whose nickel-chromium base makes it resistant to corrosion, high pressures, and extreme temperatures up to 700°C.
The material is composed of 50-55% nickel strip, 17-21% chromium, niobium and tantalum, as well as trace amounts of molybdenum, titanium, cobalt, aluminum, manganese, copper, silicon and other elements.

In precipitation intensification, nickel and niobium combine to form gammadiin (or Ni3 nB). Extreme temperatures above 800°C can cause nickel phase precipitation.
