Hello: Please follow the following method to test.
Please make sure that the printer is turned on normally, and the "Out of Paper" and "Pause" indicators are not always on or flashing, if these two indicators are on or flashing, please refer to the random "Operation Manual" for troubleshooting. You can use the Epson Operator's Manual.
Also, make sure that the paper is loaded correctly as follows:
When using a sheet of paper: Turn on the printer, place the pass lever on the sheet position, swipe the paper rail to align with the triangle marker, and insert the paper along the rail until resistance is encountered.
When using continuous paper: Place the paper pass lever in the continuous paper position and move the feed rail of the feed sheet to the far left; Slide the left chain tooth on the rear of the printer so that the chain tooth is facing the left arrow mark (0 position), slide the right chain tooth so that it roughly matches the width of the printing paper, load the continuous paper, slide the right chain tooth to flatten the paper; Then press the sprocket lock lever to secure the right sprocket teeth.
Secondly, please follow the following method to perform a printer self-test to confirm whether the printer has a hardware failure:
1 Make sure both the printer and the computer are turned off;
2.Load continuous paper or A4 sheets in the correct way in the feeder.
3.Press and hold the Feed and Unwind button, and then press the power button to turn on the printer. When the printer is powered on, release both buttons.
Normally, the printer will print the self-test page. If the paper cannot be fed and printed normally, the printer has a hardware fault, please contact the Epson Authorized Service Center for further testing. You can browse the following** to see the nearest service center:

It is recommended to change the feed wheel.
-
Hello! There is a small raised lever (paper lever) in the lower right corner of the front of the machine, and the situation that the paper does not feed is due to the wrong position of the paper lever.
-
In this case, the poke paper wheel is generally broken! The one on the feeder side barely absorbs paper, so you can replace the three small poke paper wheels!
However, the most likely thing is to set it to continuous feeding, just dial the lever on the right-hand side!

Rattle. Now that you've set up the continuous paper, pull down the little pole on the left-hand side. Look at whether it points to a single sheet of paper.

1. Confirm that the paper is installed correctly: there is a black mark on the back of the special copy paper for the copier, and the side with the black mark is facing down during installation (if the black mark is facing up, there will be an error of reporting the lack of paper).
2. Confirm that the sensor position is correct: If the paper is installed correctly, but the photocopier still alarms that there is no paper, you need to confirm whether the position of the black mark sensor is correct.
Method: Lift the white plastic cover, you can see the paper sensor (the sensor can move left and right), please confirm whether the paper sensor is aligned with the black mark (under normal circumstances, the position has been adjusted when leaving the factory), if not, move the paper sensor left and right to align the black mark on the copier paper.
3. Under normal circumstances, after the above operations, the error of alarm paper shortage can be eliminated. If the copier still alarms a paper out error, a paper verification operation is required.
The steps for paper verification are as follows:
Press and hold the barcode printer button and turn on the printer switch at the same time, press and hold the button for a long time (about 2 minutes), and wait until the barcode printer prints out the "main menu" and then let go.
You can see the media check item on the main menu, and the corresponding number 4 is behind it, at this time, press the round button on the panel 5 times (the interval is less than 1 second), press and hold the fifth time, and then let go after the barcode printer outputs the paper. The barcode printer will produce blank paper, and finally prompt that the paper sensor is successfully verified.
Errors can be eliminated as soon as the machine is switched on and off again.
1.See if the printing cable is loose, it's best to unplug both ends and plug it in, remember to power off the operation, otherwise it will burn the motherboard. 2. >>>More
