How do newcomers to Buddhism keep their vows?

First of all, there are three refuges. That is, taking refuge in the Buddha and taking refuge in the Sangha according to the law. This is the fundamental precept of Buddhism. When you take refuge, the Dharma Master will give you a teaching. Not taking refuge, keeping vows, just small kindness.

Always pay attention to the physical, oral and mental aspects.

First of all, I would rather die and keep the precepts, second, don't take myself seriously, third, take the opportunity to practice forbearance and humiliation, fourth, learn to deal with troubles, and fifth, repent.

The Buddha told us that we must "endure evil."

When evil comes, don't be hateful.

The word "瞋" (the ancient version is mostly written as "瞋"), a "目" word, a "true" word. The word "eye", the eyes are very big and big. He thought it was true, and stared at it vigorously, but in fact he was already resentful.

Why are you staring? Your eyes are hateful, so you can't stare at them.

Why endure evil?

The wicked hear the good", and the wicked will surely come and destroy you when they hear that they are going to do good deeds.

You've just done something good, and I'm going to have to say a few words about you. Especially if you amend the law, then someone will have to destroy it. "Those who come to disturb the past" are those who deliberately come to make trouble.

What should I do?

Thou shalt not rest thyself," that is, to rest the thoughts in your heart, and to get rid of the thoughts of hatred in your heart. "When there is no blame", there should be no resentment, and there should be no talk of others. Some of us can do this, some can't, and some don't know it.

Why did the Buddha teach us to endure? Actually, the Buddha is saying this conveniently, because it is unbearable, and there is nothing that can be endured. Why?

Sometimes people are helping us, but we don't know each other.

Before Shakyamuni Buddha attained enlightenment, when he was a forbearant immortal, his limbs were cut off by King Gori, that is, he was forbidden to rest, without thoughts, and without hatred. And he made a vow, saying, "If I become enlightened, you will be the first to attain enlightenment, and you will be the first to help."

Why did Shakyamuni Buddha do this? Because the troublemakers are here to help youYou don't know, you think he's cutting you and killing you, but you don't know that he's helping you achieve it. Don't doubt this, say that some people may help me achieve it, and some people are troublemakers.

In fact, it's all for you, and it's not fake, it's something you don't realize. When people help us, we don't know it, we only see things as they are, but we don't see what we have in our hearts.

He comes to the wicked and does evil to himself", that is, if a wicked person comes, he can only repay himself. You are evil, who can you be evil? Can you hate others?

When you scold others, you are actually scolding yourself. said, "I choked that person's anger enough, why do I still scold myself?"

scolded him so much that his face turned red and white, and he was speechless, I was already angry with him, why did I still 'hate myself'? "You don't know, he's you, he's your parents. You don't know that after you have finished scolding, the "evil" has penetrated deeply into your seed consciousness, and in the future, once the cause and effect have matured, they will immediately take revenge on you again.

When the cause and effect are ripe, you will return to yourself, so it is called "self-evil". Evil is rewarded with evil, and good is rewarded with good.

If someone is bullied, you can defend yourself, you can call the police, or you can go to the court to sue him. "Do not violate the national system" is one of the Buddhist canons, and Buddhism respects the laws of the country and can also protect itself according to the law.

Of course, if someone learns the spirit of the Bodhisattva, spits on himself, and does not fight back and scolds and does not return the mouth, it is worthy of admiration.

First of all, you have to understand that studying Buddhism does not make you far away from the public, nor does it make you a different person. The Buddha said that taking the precepts as a teacher, this precept is the heart precept, it is to refrain from greed, hatred, ignorance, and suspicion in the heart, do not mistake the external precepts as practice, and the external precepts are the guidance of the inner precepts, and it is also a kind of cultivation. Conforming to the masses is also a practice.

You don't always go around proclaiming that you are learning the Buddha's vows, and you don't always bring the Buddha's name into your life, but the important thing is to live according to the teachings of the Dharma, and live according to the Dharma without a trace. Instead of going around boasting that I studied Buddhism, that I took vows, and so on. That would create obstacles to doing it silently.

First of all, we must have faith in the Dharma, insist on doing the right thing, people are like this, seeing that others are different from themselves, they will have a rejection mentality, they are always blinded by the phenomenon, and because of this, people will have troubles, and those who study Buddhism should not be affected by the phenomenon, and regard it as a test of practice.
