GB T4968-2008
Fire classification. According to the type of combustible materials and combustion characteristics, fires are divided into six categories: A, B, C, D, E, and F.
Class A fire: refers to a fire of solid matter. This substance is usually organic in nature and can produce burning embers when burned. Such as wood, coal, cotton, wool, hemp, paper and other fires.
Category B fire: refers to a fire of liquids or meltable solid substances. Such as kerosene, diesel, **, methanol, ethanol, asphalt, paraffin and other fires.
Class C fire: refers to a gas fire. Such as gas, natural gas, methane, ethane, propane, hydrogen and other fires.
Category D fire: refers to a metal fire. Such as potassium, sodium, magnesium, aluminum-magnesium alloy and other fires.
Class E fire: live fire. A fire in which an object burns with electricity.
Category F fire: Fire of cooking objects (such as animal and vegetable fats) in cooking utensils.
Fire rating. According to the Notice on Adjusting the Fire Rating Standards issued by the Ministry of Public Security on June 26, 2007. The new fire grade standard has been adjusted from the original three levels of extraordinarily large fire, major fire and general fire to four grades of particularly serious fire, major fire, large fire and general fire.
Particularly major fire: refers to a fire that causes more than 30 deaths, or more than 100 serious injuries, or direct property losses of more than 100 million yuan.
Major fire: refers to a fire that causes the death of more than 10 people and less than 30 people, or the serious injury of more than 50 people and less than 100 people, or the direct property loss of between 50 million and 100 million yuan.
Relatively large fire: refers to a fire that causes the death of 3 to 10 people, or the serious injury of 10 to 50 people, or the direct property loss of between 10 million and 50 million yuan.
General fire: refers to a fire that causes less than 3 deaths, or less than 10 serious injuries, or direct property losses of less than 10 million yuan.

Summary. Fires can be divided into the following categories according to the nature of the combustible material and the fire area:1
Class A fire: refers to the ignition of combustible solid materials, such as wood, paper, cloth, plastic, etc. 2.
Class B fire: refers to flammable liquids or meltable substances**, such as gasoline, lubricating oil, paint, candles, etc. 3.
Class C fire: refers to the ignition of gases or gases mixed with oxygen, such as natural gas, liquefied gas, propane, hydrogen, etc. 4.
Class D fire: refers to the ignition of metallic substances, such as magnesium, sodium, potassium and other metals. 5.
Class E fire: refers to the fire of live equipment, such as electrical circuits, electrical equipment, etc. 6.
Category F fire: refers to the fire of grease, such as range hoods, kitchen fumes, etc.
Fires can be divided into the following categories according to the nature of the combustible material and the fire area:1Class A fires:
Refers to the ignition of combustible solid materials, such as wood, paper, cloth, plastic, etc. 2.Class B fires:
Refers to flammable liquids or meltable substances**, such as gasoline, lubricating oil, paint, candles, etc. 3.Class C fires:
Refers to the ignition of a gas or the ignition of a gas mixed with oxygen, such as natural gas, liquefied gas, propane, hydrogen, etc. 4.Class D fires:
Refers to the ignition of metallic substances, such as magnesium, sodium, potassium and other metals. 5.Class E fires:
Refers to the ignition of live equipment, such as electrical circuits, electrical equipment, etc. 6.Class F fires:
Refers to grease fire, such as range hoods, kitchen fumes, etc.
The above different types of fires require different fire extinguishing methods and fire extinguishing equipment to control and extinguish the fire as quickly as possible and protect people's lives and property.

The four categories of fire classification are particularly major fires, major fires, large fires, and general fires. A fire is a disaster caused by uncontrolled burning in time or space. In the new standard, fire is defined as uncontrolled combustion in time or space.
Among the various disasters, fire is one of the most common disasters that threaten public safety and social development. Fire brings civilization progress to human beings, but uncontrolled fire will cause disasters to human beings.
According to the Notice on Adjusting the Fire Rating Standards issued by the Ministry of Public Security on June 26, 2007, the new fire rating standards:
Fire refers to uncontrolled burning in time or space.
In a fire, trapped people should have a good psychological quality, stay calm, do not panic, do not act blindly, and choose the correct escape method. It is important to note that the temperature at the scene of the fire is staggering, and the smoke can block your view. When you are at the scene of a fire, visibility is very low, and you can't figure out the location of windows and doors even in the room where you have lived for a long time, in which case it is even more important to stay calm and not panic.
When a fire breaks out, smoke will be generated, so stop immediately and never try to get out of the smoke and crawl in a low position in the smoke. Due to the effect of the rise of hot air, a large amount of smoke will float on the upper floor, so there should be air below 30 cm above the ground in the fire, so try to crawl in a low posture in the thick smoke, and keep your head as close to the ground as possible.
