In guitars, there are two ways to strum: pick and fingers.
There are two ways to strump the strings with your fingers:
Thumb strumming.
The fingers are naturally extended, slightly arced, and all strumming movements are done with the thumb. This technique has a full sound and good integrity, but the disadvantage is that the timbre is not uniform enough and the brightness is poor.
The thumb and index finger are crossed into a figure of "ten", and the rest of the fingers are stretched out in the shape of a bird, using the back of the index finger when hitting down, and the back of the thumb nail when hitting up. This technique has a bright and uniform tone, but the sound is slightly thin.
Here are a few things to note:
When strumming the string, the movement of the right hand should be dominated by the wrist, and the forearm of the right hand is driven by the wave of the wrist.
Fingernails should be at an angle of about 60°, not at right angles. That is, the index fingernail is slightly inward when the string is struck, and the thumb nail is slightly inward when the string is swept upward. Make sure to touch the strings with the back of your fingernail and not the tip of your nail.
The trajectory of the direction of the finger should be arcary.
The depth of finger touch has a big impact on the tone. If the touch is too deep, it is easy to trip on a certain string, resulting in the breakage of the sound, and the touch is too shallow, and the sound is frivolous and lacks tension.
It's best to listen to the original record, listen to the strumming tone in it, and compare it with yourself.

A newbie A guitar novice who doesn't have a little basic.
Personally, I highly recommend that you study on your own now and find a guitar teacher. Learn systematically with him, it is almost enough to study for three months, and then study on your own, otherwise you will have to walk a long way to reach the level of freedom.
There are teachings on the Internet, and you will learn these basic things if you look for some teaching.

This is better to teach by hand, and you may not understand what you say.
There are two types of strums, picks (shrapnel) or finger sweeps.
First of all, you pinch your index finger and thumb gently, don't use too much, your wrist relaxes, and it's your wrist that swings the string, not your forearm (remember), and then you go down with your index finger over the string, and come back with your thumb over the string.
If the score is drawn to sweep 4 strings, it is best to sweep 4 strings in your hole, so as to achieve the effect. For example, if you say strumming, the song doesn't need bass, so if you sweep the strings, the effect is not ideal. Another example is that if you only want to sweep the strings, you want a bass effect, so even if you sweep to 4 strings, it will feel sharp.
Of course, it can't be easy for beginners, but it is completely possible to do it with contact.
Don't be indifferent every time, sweep the number of 6 strings, to subconsciously sweep different strings according to the change of the score, since people write so, of course it makes sense.
It's all practiced, and it's hard to close the limbs and shout the key, and it's easy to be diligent.
Pay more attention to your wrist and don't swing your arms too much, one is that it is not good-looking, the second is that the tone will not be good, and the third is that it will be very tired.
You see Nicholas Tse sweeping the strings is a very exaggerated swing of his arms, in fact, that is wrong, he is pursuing the performance effect of the scene, and when he is really recording, it will not be like that.
Practice more, no one is stupid.
