Endnote cannot import references

Click File - Import - File - to import the PDF file or the folder containing the PDF file.

Select "Choose", select the documents to be imported, import option must be selected "PDF", duplicates default to "import all", text translation selection needs attention, please refer to the following operations.

Text Translation Selection: When importing with Endnote, select Text Translation based on the encoding of the file. The file encoding is determined by opening the file to be imported with Notepad.

Then select "File" - "Save As", take a look at the "Encoding" at the bottom of the pop-up Save File dialog box, there are generally two kinds of unicode and ansi. If it's Unicode, use Unicode (UTF-8) for texttranslation when importing with Endnote, and use no translation if it's ANSI.

Find the icon below in the installation directory of Endnote, click Run, and you're good to go.

If you don't respond when you use EndNote to import documents, it may be caused by several reasons:1The file format is not supported:

Endnote supports the import of file formats such as RIS, XML, and Bibtex. If you select an incorrect file format for missing uplink, EndNote may not be able to recognize and import documents. 2.

Wrong import option setting: When importing documents, Endnote will pop up the import options window, you need to set them according to your specific needs. If the settings are incorrect, the import may fail.
