In the teachings of Buddhism, anger is summarized as the five poisons.

One of the reasons why sentient beings engage in all kinds of negative karma and are bound by the cycle of birth and death. For an angry man, like a drunken man, loses his mind. People who are burned by anger will not experience love or happiness, and all the yearning and persistence for goodness will be burned away.

Desire creates the illusion of suffering, and if you can't see through it, you can't go beyond it, and that's why hatred is there. In fact, the moment that aroused anger was long gone. So, patience is very important in the six perfections.

If you can't endure the humiliation, when your anger burns, your pure heart will be lost, and your merit will be gone.

Venerable Honghai replied: The so-called burning of the merit forest means that the hatred has risen. That is, you have encountered adversity and made you angry.

But if you can feel that this adverse condition is also the state that Amitabha Buddha has manifested in order to make you more resolute in your past life and to recite the Buddha more diligently, you will not feel angry, and you will not be angry.

Even if the fire burns the meritorious forest, the pure karma of the past life is still growing. On the other hand, when you recite the corresponding recitation of the Buddha, there will be no burning of the merit forest. Because when your mind is on the Buddha's mind and the Pure Land Dharma, how can you have troubles and anger?

When you are on fire, you are not on the white road (the metaphor of the white road of water and fire). Therefore, we should try our best to overcome our habits and blindness, try our best to transform such causes, and try our best to increase and strengthen our beliefs, so as to continue to recite the Buddha's name in the spring. In short, we must grit our teeth and persist in cultivating the Pure Land Method.

There is no other way.

The Buddhist scriptures say, "If a person has been doing good deeds for a long time, but then he has a thought of anger, and then he can burn all the previous merits with one thought, that is, burning the merit forest."

Therefore, when you do good deeds, you must dedicate yourself.

The meaning of dedication is equal to giving away that is, to give one's merits to others, preferably to the supreme bodhi

After making a dedication, if you feel resentful, you will not be able to burn your previous merits because they have already been given away and no longer belong to you

So, if someone feels that they have cultivated a little merit with great difficulty, and they give it to others like this, then isn't they having nothing? Not really. Merit is not biscuits, nor watermelons, it does not mean that if you give it to others, you will lose your merit Merit is like a torch in a person's hand in the dark night, if he uses his torch to light the torch in the hands of others, then in the end, the torch will be more and more, and the light will be more and more wide!
