Floor tiles are very common ground decoration materials, many families will choose to pave in the living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and this raw material is durable and easy to clean. There are two ways to pave floor tiles, both are dry and wet, so what is the difference between them? Today, I will introduce the advantages and disadvantages of dry floor tiles and wet floor tiles, the difference between them is so big!
Fortunately, after listening to the words of the decoration workers at that time, I didn't make a mistake!
The dry paving floor tiles are to first pour the surface layer of the neat foundation, and then apply dry concrete mixed with mixed mortar to paste the floor tiles, and gently beat it with a hammer to make it firm.
The advantage of dry paving floor tiles is that the internal structure is not easy to appear in the case of wall hollowing, because the dry concrete is very thick after mixing with the mixed mortar, it will be beaten tightly with a small hammer in the middle and later stages, and it is easy to fall off after drying, and it is reasonable to avoid the bubbles caused by the ground tiles in the laying process. However, this dry paving method is not suitable for the laying of tiles on the wall, it is difficult to get up, and it is very easy to burst out, and the construction cost is higher.
Wet paving floor tiles are also a common construction process, the only difference between it and dry paving floor tiles is that the ordinary mixed mortar is used instead of dry concrete, the overall moisture content of the plastering mortar is higher, and the adjusted floor tiles are easy to be shaken.
Wet paving floor tiles effectively reduce the cost of decoration, because the general mixed mortar will be much cheaper than dry concrete, you can see the advantages of the best at once. However, the shortcomings of wet paving floor tiles are obvious, first of all, in the process of paving, due to the moisture of cement mortar, it is easy to produce bubbles and bulging conditions, endangering the life of the application. Secondly, because the general cement contains a lot of water, the floor tiles are easy to roll on it, and unevenness occurs.
For example, dry paving is suitable for dry occasions, such as bedrooms, large living rooms, etc., while wet paving is suitable for more humid areas such as dining rooms and kitchens and toilets.
The floor tiles are selected for dry or wet paving, which is related to the flatness of the ground in the later stage. For example, the dry pavement does not need to do a good job of ground leveling on the ground, while the wet paved floor tiles need to be solved by carrying out ground leveling work on the road surface.
The flatness of the dry-paved floor tile around the mouth is more appropriate, and there will be no blistering, and there will be no hollowing of the wall. The cement mortar of the internal structure of the wet floor tiles has a large water content, which is very prone to bubbles and hollowing of the wall, and the application life is also shorter.
As far as the construction stage of the project is concerned, it will be more difficult to dry paving, because he has higher requirements for the control of moisture, if the water is not in place, the cement mortar will be less water, and the adhesive will not be firm. There are not so many regulations for wet paving, and water can be discharged according to the proportion of general mixing cement. At the same time, the cost of dry laying is also higher than that of wet paving, because it is more expensive due to the dry concrete.
-
The difference is quite big, the thickness of the dry paste is large, the flatness is better, and the dry paste is not easy to hollow, in short, the dry paste is better than the wet sticker.
-
Wipe the adhesive layer, use 1 - 3 dry cement mortar, flatten along the horizontal line, put the bricks on the mortar, compact them with a rubber hammer, remove the floor tiles, pour in the cement slurry, and then put the floor tiles on and shake them flat. The dry pavement method effectively avoids the occurrence of bubbles and cavitation phenomena generated in the process of floor tile paving. However, due to the high labor intensity and high technical content of the dry pavement method of floor tiles, the general dry pavement method is better than the wet pavement method.
The cost of the law is much higher.
-
There are different styles and materials of floor tiles, there are two kinds of dry and wet stickers, and you can choose the appropriate lamination method according to different materials. It's better to still have a wet paste.
-
When tiling in the bathroom, is it better to paste it dry or wet?
In terms of quality, it is definitely good for wet pastes. Wet paste can make the floor paving layer more solid and more resistant to leakage. However, from the perspective of construction, the people required for wet sticking will be slightly more blind, and the construction will be more difficult.
If the grinding and slippery preparation and dry paste method construction, the construction is relatively easy, but the ability to resist leakage is very poor. Therefore, it is correct to choose the wet paste process construction.
-
It is better to tile or dry. If the floor tiles are laid dry, the flatness will be better controlled than that of wet paving. Moreover, there are few bubbles in dry paving, and the moisture of the mortar is relatively small, so it is not easy to appear hollow or tile falling off.
-
I think it's better to wet the tiling when it's tile; Because for the wet floor tiles, the base layer can be in an overall flat state, which will make the mortar protection very uniform and effectively prevent the phenomenon of hollowing.
-
Of course, it is good to dry, this may be better waterproof, and it is also good for the use effect, so it is better.
-
When tiling the bathroom floor, it can be applied dry or wet. Both methods have their own advantages and disadvantages, and the choice needs to be made on a case-by-case basis.
Dry paste. Dry sticking refers to the tiling process of laying tile adhesive on the ground foundation first, and then pasting the tiles directly. This method ensures that the bond between the tile and the floor is stronger and that the tile dries faster.
In addition, dry sticking can also avoid problems such as tile peeling and hollowing.
Wet paste. Wet paste refers to the tiling process of applying a layer of porcelain burning brick glue on the basis of guessing the ground, and then pasting the tiles in order. Compared with dry stickers, wet stickers can be skinned to make the gaps between tiles and tiles more even, and it is also easy to adjust and compensate for unevenness and other problems.
Wet pasting also avoids deviation or misalignment of tiles.
Whether it is a dry or wet sticker, you need to pay attention to the following aspects:
Choose appropriate tile adhesive and construction tools to ensure that the tiles are firmly bonded to the ground;
In the process of paving, it is necessary to pay attention to the neatness and flatness of the tiles to ensure beauty and comfort;
After the paving is completed, the tiles should be treated, including cleaning, edging, and grouting.
In short, when tiling the bathroom floor, you can choose two methods: dry or wet paste. No matter which method is adopted, it is necessary to pay attention to the selection of appropriate tile adhesive and construction tools, and ensure the neatness and flatness of the tiles in the process of paving, so as to ensure the beauty and use of the bathroom floor.

The mortar used in dry paving has less moisture, and there will be no blistering, let alone hollowing. The wet-laid mortar has more moisture, and it is very easy to have blisters and hollowing.
The flatness of dry paving is better controlled, while wet paving is easy to slide because of the moisture inside the mortar, and it is difficult to grasp it during construction.
Dry paving has higher requirements for the treatment of the base, because the mortar used in the dry paving has less moisture, and if the base does not add water, it will lead to a lack of water in the mortar, and the paste is not reliable. The requirements for the base layer of the wet shop are relatively low, and there are basically no requirements.
When dry-paving, it is necessary to grasp the water consumption of mortar, and generally use hands to detect the amount of water used in mortar.
Through the above introduction, it can be seen that dry paving has relatively more advantages, but it is more expensive, while wet paving is economical, but it is easy to blister and hollow. Dry laying is recommended, but for paving thickness and small areas of kitchen and bathroom space, wet laying is more affordable. Many of the 1916 tiles used in our community are of very good quality, cost-effective, and have good results in wet and dry paving.

Regarding the dry or wet laying of floor tiles, it is generally decided according to the occasion and the budget of the decoration, and the final effect is also different. The effect of dry-laying cement is better, and it is not easy to appear hollow, but it is relatively expensive. As for the brand, choose a big brand***.
First, the so-called "dry paving" is actually the use of dry hard cement mortar, this mortar its collapse degree is relatively low, so the need to add less water when stirring, when preparing mortar, the ratio of cement and sand according to 1:2 to 1:3 deployment, that is, dry hard cement mortar, after adding water, the effect is to be kneaded into a ball, landing and flowering is very good.
The so-called "wet paving" is to mix the ratio of cement and sand according to the ratio of 1:4 to 1:5, stirring into a soft and moist cement mortar, this mortar is more suitable for use, small glazed tiles, mosaics, ceramic tiles, crushed stone and other quality requirements are slightly simpler ground tile paving, because the cost of wet paving is less than that of dry paving, so it is used more in the case of some cheap materials and relatively low requirements for paving process.
Second, the difference between dry paving method and wet paving method.
1. When the tile is dry-paved, the flatness requirements for the floor tiles are lower than those for wet paving, so it is easier to control during construction, because as long as the floor tiles on the dry hard cement mortar are adjusted, it is easy to not slide, but if the wet paving method is used, because there is more moisture in the mortar, the ground tiles laid during construction may be loose.
2. Tile dry paving has a great advantage, the most unlikely to appear hollow drum, because of the reason for less moisture when dry paving, so there are basically no bubbles, and when wet paving due to too much moisture in the mortar, there will be a large number of bubbles, and so after the mortar solidifies due to gas volatilization, there will be a lot of small hollow drum in the wet mortar.
3. Before the tile is paved, the treatment requirements for the base layer are much higher than the requirements of the wet paving method, this is because the moisture is relatively less when the dry paving is done, once the base is not wet, then the base layer will absorb a large amount of water in the mortar, resulting in the mortar and the base layer are not firmly bonded, and the mortar of the wet paving method has a large water content, so the effect is much better than that of dry paving in this regard.
4. Dry paving also has the advantage of not doing the base leveling, and the base leveling and mortar bonding layer can be done at one time during construction. The reason is that the moisture content of the mortar is small, so it is easier to adjust the thickness of the mortar, but the wet paving process is relatively large because of the fluidity of the mortar, if the thickness of the base layer is too thick, it is difficult to level it at one time, and it needs to be implemented twice, so it must be leveled first and then paved with floor tiles when it is wet paved.
-
It is better to dry pave with tiles; When pasting tiles, the effect of dry paving will be better, because dry paving can make the whole surface smoother, and it is not easy to appear hollow, and it can also meet the quality requirements, and the construction method and effect are also particularly easy to master.
-
If you paste tiles, dry paving is better, and if conditions permit, it is best to dry paving, so that it is not easy to hollow, and the effect will be better, relatively speaking, the price will be a little expensive; The effect of dry paving will be better, and there will be no hollowing, and the quality is also very good.
-
Of course, the effect of wet paving is better, because the cement and tiles are glued tightly, so it will not cause them to fall.
