Articles of Association of the Chinese Horticultural Society, what is the organization of the Chines

It is an academic mass organization voluntarily united by Chinese horticultural science and technology workers. It is an integral part of the China Association for Science and Technology. Its mission is to carry out academic exchange activities; Organize the first and scientific investigations of key academic topics; Recommend scientific and technological achievements and talents; Carry out international academic exchange activities and strengthen friendly ties with foreign scientific and technological groups and scientific and technological workers.

The scope of expertise includes the cultivation, breeding, product storage and processing of fruit trees, vegetables, watermelons, melons and garden plants, as well as garden planning and design.

The Society was founded in 1929. In 1934, the first issue of the Bulletin of the Chinese Horticultural Society was published. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the activities of the society basically stopped.

After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the meeting was resumed in Nanjing, and in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing and other places, the establishment of local horticultural societies and organizations, the compilation and printing of horticultural society newspapers and other publications. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Congress of the Chinese Horticultural Society was held in Beijing in August 1956 to elect the first council. In 1957, he published the "Horticultural Bulletin" and the "Garden Newsletter".

In May 1962, the Journal of Horticulture was published, with four issues a year. In 1966, the activities of the Chinese Horticultural Society ceased to exist, and the Journal of Horticultural Sciences ceased publication until Volume 5, Issue 2. In July 1978, the Society resumed its activities.

In August, Acta Horticulturae Sinica resumed publication. In 1981, he joined the International Horticultural Society as an associate member.

The society has 5 groups: domestic academic exchange group, international academic exchange group, science popularization group, education group, and organization group. There are 4 professional committees.

Among them, the Fruit Tree Professional Committee is presided over by the Institute of Pomology of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (Xingcheng, Liaoning), which has more than 4,330 members in 1990; The Vegetable Professional Committee is presided over by the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (Beijing); The professional committee of western and melon is presided over by the Zhengzhou Fruit Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The Ornamental Horticulture Professional Committee is presided over by Beijing Gyeongju Forestry University.

The Fruit Tree Professional Committee is affiliated to the Vegetable Professional Committee of the Institute of Pomology (Xingcheng) of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Watermelon Professional Committee of the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (Beijing), the Ornamental Horticulture Professional Committee of the Zhengzhou Institute of Fruit Trees of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the Beijing Forestry University.

The Chinese Horticultural Society has 6,890 individual members and 38 group members, and has business guidance and organizational relationships with horticultural societies in 30 provinces, municipalities (municipalities directly under the central government) and autonomous regions.

The business scope is the cultivation, breeding, germplasm resources, product storage and processing, biotechnology application, horticultural product circulation and garden planning and design of fruit trees, vegetables, watermelons and ornamental plants.

The top executive of the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH IAHP) is the president of the association, whose current president is the Danish Otto Koch; The day-to-day affairs are presided over by the Secretary-General, whose current one is Tim Blaircliffe.

The internal functional organizations of the association are: (1) the Representative Committee, which is the highest executive body of the AIPH IAHP organization; (2) the Council, composed of the leaders and representatives of the branch committees of the member states, which is responsible for deliberating on the categories of members and international activities related to horticulture; (3) The Board of Directors, composed of the President and Vice-President of the Association, is the highest decision-making body of the AIPH IAHP organization.
